chapter 1

kang haerin. the girl who's a bit of a nerd and likes reading books, "cool" girls made fun of her for being boring.

she just ignored everyone. everyone except kim minji. the neighbor that lives next to her house, their bedroom windows upstairs facing each others. minji's family had just moved in to their town and will permanently be there. minji would pursue her sophomore year.

she had heart eyes for minji when she heard car sounds, like opening the trunk, closing the door while she was reading a love book story in her room after school night. curiosity killed the cat, she stood up arranged her glasses and peeked at her window and saw the abandoned house beside her house getting approached by a black car. well the car wasn't actually filled with kidnappers or criminals, the car looked so innocent. (not all black cars are dangerous) haerin tilted her head and saw a handsome looking girl wearing a leather jacket, with white t-shirt, denim pants and a black cap. going out of the car, it hasn't even a second yet but the outfit had already gotten her attention. just then she saw a man taking boxes out from the car trunk. haerin had assume it was her dad opening the trunk and the one beside the girl is her brother. because they had matching outfits and they look alike each other.

the girl in the black outfit, came to help her dad to bring the boxes inside the house. they had already got the keys from the land lady when they checked the house out and bought it.

the tall boy who haerin assumed the brother of the handsome girl, closed the trunk and shouted "hey, minji catch!" he tossed the keys from his back to the his sister. as the girl lets out a playful chuckle and rolled her eyes. haerin tilted her head.

'so minji is her name?' haerin swore she had already fallen inlove with her name too.

"dad she almost hit me!" taehyung exclaimed as he frowned playfully

"no i didn't?!!" minji slapped the guy's arm and glared at him

"LOOK! you did!" taehyung pointed at his sister while looked at his father with an innocent eyes looking if he got that captured in his eyes. the girl grabbed taehyung's index finger and flickered it, and he winced.

"stop it you two and get your things aside your rooms!" their dad scolded them before giving them a pat on their heads.

haerin didn't noticed that she had been smiling when she watched the scene between minji and her brother. she slapped herself as she saw the reflection of her in the glass window smiling like an idiot. she had found that scene cute so.. she can't help but to smile.

second later she was disturbed by a sudden knock from her door, she assumed it was her brother taehyun because he would always knock at her door to either bother her or find something. she actually had a sister, they we're 1 year apart and kang yeseo was the older one.

"haerin? did you see my shoes?" her elder brother asked as he opened the door with his socks and he was wearing a rockstar shirt.

"EW YOUR FEET STINKS!" haerin covered her nose because taehyun was hopping on one foot trying to put his socks in.

"shut up. did you hide my converse shoes?" taehyun glared at her leaning at the wall so he can't get out of balance

"NO! get out of my room it reeks! ASK YESEO UNNIE." haerin yelled at her brother annoyingly when he sat on her bed and finished putting his socks on his right foot.
