After a the incident, strangely, Heizou did not see Scaramouche any time he was out. Back then, he would always see him from the corner of his eye, but this time he did not. Perhaps he was... embarrassed. Either way, the detective was suspicious of the strange behavior, and yet again started working on the case of the murdered woman.

His thoughts still led him to the anwser that Scaramouche is the killer. He was thinking, maybe the whole kidnapping thing was just simply a distraction, so he kept his suspicion.

Days and nights flew by quickly, yet the detective was still searching for the murderer. Maybe it wasn't Kunikuzushi. Now that he thought about it, he jumped to conclusions way too easily and perhaps he was wrong about the accusation. Maybe it was someone else who did it.

While all these thoughts were on the man's mind, he didn't even notice the sun going down, but he very much noticed when it came up.

He pulled another all-nighter.

He sighed as he closed his laptop and got up from the couch. He stumbled to the kitchen and turned on the most important gadget in the room: the coffee machine. Heizou was barely awake as he was making the coffee. He took a look at the quietly ticking clock on the wall, which was next to a little flower decoration, hanging from the ceiling, and resting against the wall.

"6:29 pm"

He had to be at work by 7, so he was relieved that he still had a little time to make himself not look like a zombie that just crawled out of The Walking Dead.
He sat down to the dinner table with the mug of coffee, and grabbed a piece of bread. He ate it plain. No butter, no cheese, no salami, nothing.

He began to slowly munch on the piece of bread, no thoughts, head empty. Heizou was completely filled with a void, just until he heard a notification come from his phone. He placed down the food and grabbed the device. He quickly unlocked the screen and saw a text from an unknown number.

"Hello! Is this Shikanoin Heizou's number?"

The unknown person texting the detective was right. It was his number.

"Yes, it is. Who is this?"

The man was confused, why would a random stranger text him so early in the morning.

"Hey, it's me, Scaramouche, I got your number from Kazuha"

Heizou thought this was all very suspicious. Questions swelled up in his head and in the heat of the moment he didn't know what he should answer.

"What do you want?"

It was weird that Kunikuzushi would reach out to him after a while of not even showing his face to the public world.

"Are you free this Saturday at 7 pm?"

"Yes, I am. Why?"

"Meet me behind Komore teahouse at exactly 7. I have a lot to talk about."
