💔Arguments and broken hearts.💔

It wasn't uncommon for arguments to break out in between couples. Kai and Cole weren't an exception. Instead, they could be worse than an average couple when it came to arguing.

It usually started the same, with Kai blowing things out of proportion. And ended the same, with Cole leaving for the night and leaving everyone else to deal with a sensitive and crying Kai. Why?

Maybe it was because of Kai's tendency to be a dick while screaming at Cole for who even knows what. But Cole isn't a saint either. He has threatened multiple times to hit Kai.

In short, they are horrible when they argue. And who has to smooth things out between the two? The other Ninjas. Nya and Lloyd usually go to calm Kai down, while Zane and Jay set out to find Cole and bring him back, making sure that he didn't drink any alcohol. That would just worsen everything. Sensei Wu and Pixal are in charge of getting the two to try and talk it out, using their wisdom to help them out.

They all hated it. So why haven't they tried to stop it from happening? Or try to break them up? Because Kai and Cole are like some fucked up addicts to the toxicity of their relationship. It's truly terrible.

This time is no different either.

Kai was currently in the middle of his room, where Cole has been sleeping ever since they got together. His back to the bed as he screamed and yelled at Cole while throwing pillows at him. Cole dodged it easily, his back was closer to the door, ready to flee while yelling back.

"Why can't you just understand Kai?!" The earth element yelled out.

"Understand what?! That you're a drunken cheater who only comes to me to get his dick wet?!"
Ouch. That hurt the both of them. Because it was true.

Whenever they argue, Cole leaves to get a drink or two..which turns into him fumbling in the sheets with a stranger while he's drunk.

And the only time they have sex is when Cole needs it, not really caring if Kai is in the mood or not.

"Like you're any better you fucking bitch! You constantly make me the villain as if you could do no wrong!" Cole snapped back.

This was also true, Kai doesn't give two flying fucks about Cole's emotions because he's so self-centered, making everything about him, not ever wanting to share the spotlight.

As their screaming match continued, a collective sigh of frustration came from the other Ninjas.

"Are they at it again?..."
Nya asked the others as she came into the living room.

"What do you think?"
Zane said sarcastically, completely fed up with those two.

"So when will we tell them they need to break up?
Jay asked everyone in the room as he desperately tried to focus on the game he was playing with Lloyd.

"You know that it's not our business Jay, we can't just force them away from one another."
Lloyd winced as another shout was heard from Kai's room.

"Well they certainly know how to make it seem like it's everyone's business..."
The lightning elemental trailer off.

"While I agree it would be for the best, we can't really do much to interfere."
Zane stated the obvious as he kept on reading, trying to block out the unpleasant sound of screaming.

Nya sighed as she suddenly felt like crying. What the hell happened to those two? They seemed so happy for such a long time..

She supressed her tears as she sat down next to Jay, resting her head on his shoulder, as Jay pressed a soft kiss on her head as an attempt to calm his girlfriend down. Unlike Kai and Cole, Nya and Jay knew how to work their issues out, as well as Pixal and Zane.

The sudden sound of a door slamming open made them turn their heads in the direction of the sound, and to no doubt. It was Cole storming out of the room with a very irritated look on his face as a stresses Kai followed him out, giving him half assed apologies.

The tension in the room instantly got thicker as they watched them argue. But for once it didn't end the same way. Instead it ended in a way that shocked them all.

Cole turned around facing Kai, this movement silenced him. Then he spat out the his next words with as much venom as he could muster up.

"We should break up."
He said in a cold tone, shocking everyone. As the words struck Kai he began tearing up but he nodded nonetheless.

"You're right..."
He wishpered, heartbroken a bit since he never wanted it to end this way but he knew it was coming.
"It would be for the best after all..."
He avoided the eye contant with his, now ex-, boyfriend as he felt tears slip down his face.

"I'm going out tonight, don't fucking bother me."
Cole spat again, he felt his own heart breaking, but as Kai said, it's for the best. He grabbed his keys, wallet, phone, jacket and put his shoes on as he stepped out, but thankfully this time he didn't slam the door.

Kai just sunk to the floor as he cried.

The others didn't know how to deal with this, suddenly Zane stood up and went to Kai, lifted up his head and looked at him sternly.

"We all know how much you love him, so that's why you'll go after him. But...give him time first, and then the two of you will resolve this once and for all, got it?"
He borderline ordered Kai, after a little while Kai nodded as he whispered a faint 'Thank you.' and hugged Zane.

Jay then sighed as he got up, walking to Kai himself. He offered a hand that the fire element took to stand up. He hugged Kai and rubbed his back.

"I'll go and check where he had gone off to, but you two seriously need to figure your shit out."
He said as he gathered his own stuff to find his best friend. He looked to the others and asked if anyone else wanted to tag along. Lloyd agreed as he saw Nya and Zane were currently taking care of Kai.

They called out for Pixal to come too so they can find him faster. She got ready to leave and kissed Zane goodbye.

The night escalated from then on..

Also, this will very likely have a second chapter where they figure things out, which will be fluffy since I can't just end it here on angst!
