"I require a divorce." Catherine simply blinked. The servants had just served them a hearty meal by most standards.
One could say it was a meal fit for a king
Ba-dum tsh!
It was only breakfast but Henry was already devouring a salted pike. Personally she wasn't fond of the fish but she wouldn't dare deny it for fear of angering her dear husband.
Oh how she loved him so.
That's probably why her heart felt like it shattered into thousands of pieces at the words spoken so nonchalantly by her soon-to-be ex-husband.
She should've seen this coming. She had previously tried to deny his love for the young girl, but it was so obvious. So obvious that it was painful.
He had ordered that her quarters were handed over to Anne swiftly. How he could just cheat on her (in front of her no less) and berate her as if she were in the wrong, angered Catherine to no end.
But she couldn't allow him to divorce her. She was a strict Catholic and so was he! They had a daughter! He couldn't care less when she miscarried and instead be and at her for it.
But her religion prevented a divorce. So she refused to let this happen. She wouldn't allow this to happen. She usually kept cool in this situation but her anger finally boiled over.
He wouldn't let that foolish girl run off with her husband. The country preferred her and would he really give up his respect like her?
Breathing in deeply, she opened her mouth.
"No way!"
I know short and horrible but if you want me to continue with the others, sure I guess.
