The scent of coffee and baked goods hit Michael's nose as he entered the quaint cafe. It was around one in the afternoon, so the cozy place was slightly busy with people catching a quick bite to eat while on their lunch breaks. Politely greeting the hostess, Michael headed to an empty booth that was in the back section. A waitress stopped by shortly after he sat down to ask what he wanted to drink while handing him the menu. Since he was meeting up with someone here, he told her that he would wait before ordering anything. The waitress simply nodded in confirmation, setting an extra menu down before leaving to tend to her other tables.

Eyes scanning over the menu, Michael tried his best to focus on the delicious options that the cafe provided. But his mind wouldn't allow him to, since it racing a mile a minute over not only what was about to transpire from this meetup, but also the messy situation that had led up to this moment.

Of course with Michael being a young and famous man, the messy situation involved a woman— that woman being none other than Violet Jones.

Violet, however, wasn't just some random groupie who was only trying to take advantage of him. She was way more than that— a beautiful, intelligent, funny, and caring woman that Michael fell head over heels for over these last eight months. She was everything that he wanted in a woman, and he really saw a bright future with her. Yet there's one major obstacle that's keeping their relationship from progressing, which brings Michael here today.

He honestly couldn't believe that he even worked up the courage for what he was about to do, but it simply had to be done. His patience over waiting for Violet to take action has worn thin, especially with the recent news he received. He was tired of having to hide the true nature of their relationship. He was ready for her to be publicly his and only his.

After a few minutes had passed, Michael looked up to finally see the person he'd been waiting for walking into the cafe— Violet's fiancé, Andre.

It felt like time slowed down as he watched Andre briefly speaking to the hostess while looking around to see where he was sitting. Now that Andre was there in the flesh, Michael felt a rush of nerves and doubt come over him. Part of him was feeling unsure if it was even worth it to reveal his affair with Violet to Andre. He could hear his mind telling him to just let Violet go and to let her and Andre continue their relationship in peace.

But like always, the heart wants what it wants, and his was telling him not to give up just yet.

So as Andre finally spotted him and began heading towards the booth, Michael inwardly told himself to man up and do what he came to do. He prepared himself for whatever Andre's reaction may be when spills the details about the affair. And while a part of Michael feels bad about Andre being hurt— again, it's simply what had to be done. This was his final chance for Violet to be his woman and he refused to let the opportunity slip away.

A/N: Hey y'all! I apologize for the long wait because I intended to upload this way earlier. As y'all can see, we have Michael out here being a whole homewrecker lmao! I'm excited for y'all to see everything that leads up to this point and the aftermath. Violet is gonna have Michael wrapped around her finger as you can tell.

I'm currently working on the first chapter, so I don't have a set day for an update and I don't wanna make any promises. Hopefully, it won't be too long from now, so just be on the lookout. Happy reading!
