Coles pov

I woke up in the middle of the night "ugh not again" I said covering my face with a pillow, third time this week I woke up in the middle of the night and not being able to fall asleep "welp guess I'll go walk a bit I guess" I said to myself getting up and putting on my shoes. When I got out of the palace I walked down towards the woods, why? Because there's nobody to bother me and ask stupid questions, but when I got there I heard something, like somebody humming, I followed the sound to a huge cherry blossom tree, it was the time of the year where none of the cherry blossoms bloomed so I was really confused on how it was blossoming then I saw a boy sitting next to it humming a soft tune into the night, his voice ran through the trees over the cliffs and over the mountains, it was beautiful I couldn't help but sit and listen, I was there for a while when finally he finished the song and looked up at the moon "hi mom, how are you? It's been tough lately, can't find a job and enough food but... I'll stay strong for you... just like I promised" he said sadly, it broke my heart to hear this, tears filled his eyes as he continued "why did you leave me? Was I not good enough? Will I ever be?" He picked up a cherry blossom and smiled at it "your cherry blossom is still good, I... I don't know what to do... please... help me" he said still smiling but crying at the same time "the other kids don't get it, why don't they? What's wrong with them? Or... is it me?" It seemed like for a second the world went quiet and the only sound was his soft crying in the quiet nights of the mountain kingdom, I was about to walk to him when I stepped on a branch and it made the loudest crunch ever dang it "who's there?!" The boy cried out "um hey sorry didn't mean to spy or anything but uh I just... noticed you were upset and I uh" I blushed seeing that it was almost like I was stalking him "oh" "I'm sorry". "No don't be!
