Chapter 24
Christian's hand was trapped in a rather pleasant location. Just a little squeeze and he would be able to feel their softness. To say it was tempting was a vast understatement. Passionate images bombarded his mind and urged him further. It was with great difficultly that Christian extracted his hand and slowly brought it out without disturbing her. He presented his back to her and ordered himself to go to sleep. Thank goodness for the battle. His body was exhausted and sleep claimed him.

A man and a woman were wrapped in each other's arms. There was a two year old child on the lap of the woman and a seven year old boy next to the man.
"Isabella, you are looking really beautiful tonight! One has to vow that you had three children!" the man exclaimed.
"You are a charmer as always, and it's no wonder I am on my way with the fourth!" the woman laughed.
"Mama, how about me? Am I not handsome?" the boy asked.
"Of course you are my boy. I am sure you will grow up to be a fine young man and a breaker of all ladies hearts!" the woman agreed merrily.
"Me...bootipul!" the child cried from her mothers lap.
"Of course, darling! I am going to have to defend you from all young men when you grow up to be the beauty as your mama!" the man concurred with the child.
"I love you all, my beautiful ladies and handsome son!" the man proclaimed.
"And we all return the love with equal vigour, my handsome husband!" the woman cooed.
They all laughed together in happiness.

"Isabel, hurry he is here and he has an army with him! Hide the children! I'll handle him!" the man screamed in warning as he brought out his sword, ready to fight.
The woman hurried to hide the two children in her cupboard. "Take care of your sis! Its a promise! Don't leave the cupboard till its safe" she told the boy and gave each of them a kiss. The boy nodded solemnly, not completely understanding what was going on. Then she scrambled to get weapons to aid her husband.
Three soldiers stormed open the door. The man fought valiantly and brought all of them down just as another two came in. He was in a rage and no one could stop him. No one who threatens his family got away easily.
Another came in silently and pulled the woman by her hair harshly. "Stop or she dies!" He screamed with his dagger at her throat. He looked extremely sinister and unforgiving.
The man looked at them in shock. He dropped his sword in hopes that the man would let go of his wife. The man holding his wife aimed a kick at her very pregnant stomach. The woman cried out in pain as the man screamed, "Not my Isabel please! Take me!". The men around laughed, amazed to see a great warrior begging for a woman. Another man slashed through the warrior's arm as the woman screamed in agony for her husband. The men around just continued to laugh evilly as some literally sliced the man into pieces, taking great pleasure at bringing a mighty warrior down. Their evilness did not stop as one aimed another ferocious kick at the woman's belly, causing her to bleed heavily and sink to the ground. The man holding the woman let her go and came to stamp on the heart of her husband.
The boy watched as his parents were brought down and made to bleed to death. Tears streamed down his cheeks. But he did not make a sound. He had a promise to keep. His mother wanted him to take care of his sister and he would do so. The bad soldiers were leaving the room. Just then, "Mummy! Daddy!" his sister cried. The boy looked at his sister in panic and put his hand over her mouth to cover up the sounds. The last man to leave the room, the one who had tortured his mother turned at the sound. He gave another sinister laugh as he walked straight towards the cupboard and threw it open.
