I see a lot of people giving their opinions and their thoughts on Ted Bundy in different groups. Giving there analysis on him. I'm going to make it real simple as far as Ted goes. I have been saying this basically for almost 20 years. I am not a certified counselor, psychologist or psychiatrist, professor, or a teacher. I have no BA's, Batchelors, or masters. I am a true crime researcher though. This is just what I think makes the most sense because of my personal experiences and my personal relation to Ted Bundy's character.

In my amateur opinion, Ted Bundy was an addict and his drug of choice was murder. This is why I identify with him so much more than any other serial killer or murderer. It's quite simple. Yes finding that next one, the stalking and abducting was the precursor and aphrodisiac that stimulated him and drove his testosterone to higher levels. Everything else was just symptoms and triggers that drove him. The planning, scamming and going to get as well as the actual act of copping the drugs is the same as Ted's thinking and actions. The thrill of the chase was prevalent and a huge precursor to it all. Ted started off as a peeping Tom and klepto maniac. Just as we as addicts have gateway drugs.

Just like an addict, even when you are not using you are thinking about it and how to get that next one. Conniving and hustling a way to get something out of nothing is an instant rush which fuels the intensity that is out of control and controlling your every thought and move. What I'm trying to say in simple layman's terms. Just like an addict has symptoms that lead to the actual act so did Ted.

The control factor was a major symptom and stimulant which was partially derived from his starch narcissism. He said himself "You feel the last bit of breath leaving their body. You're looking into their eyes. A person in that situation is God!" This is a dark twisted way of thinking. Seeing things upside down and pulled inside out. Backwards from the way we would envision things. A person with empathy would generally think of this as evil and devil like. Yet, he compared himself in the act of killing with his own bare hands to being God. Just as we deny our actions and the fact that we are addicts. Ted denied the killings and independently defended himself in the court of law.
