(Hey, just to clarify, this is my first ever story on this app, although i have written a few in the past, just not on wattpad. Anyways, good luck reading, suckers.)
The door handle is seen twitching, before it swings open, revealing a tall man who is wearing a red flannel with a black t-shirt underneath it, and a pair of black trousers along with leather shoes. He sighs before noticing a dog heading towards him. He reaches for the door handle behind him, before closing and locking it. He bends down to get to the dogs height, before petting and rubbing him. After a few minutes of petting him, he stands back up and walks over to his living room couch.
He throws a letter to a table right next to it, before sitting down and sighing once more. The letter seems to be a Contract Termination from his job. He pinches the bridge of his nose before his dog jumps up the bed beside him, resting his head on his lap. He pets his head once more, but suddenly, his phone starts vibrating as he picks it up. He looks at the caller name: "Mom." He curses himself underneath his breath before answering the phone.
"Hey mom." He says trying to sound positive but little to no effort. "Why are you calling me this late?""Hey honey, i just wanted to check up on you." She says with a soft tone. "I know life has been hard for you lately, and i just wanted to let you know, that you can stay in our house until you find yourself a new job."
He chuckles at his mom trying to comfort him. Before answering back, "Mom, its fine."
He says before he pauses before continuing. "I can handle this situation myself. Plus, i wouldn't want to burden you and dad with me staying over. Trust me mom, i'm not a toddler anymore. I can deal with this."His mother sighs at him and answers back. "Fine. But if you need a place to stay for the time-being, then please come over. You aren't a burden at all, and i love you honey."
He sighs then chuckles at her. "Alright mom, i'll see you later. Bye."He hangs up after his mom said her goodbyes as well. He bends over towards the table in front of the couch and places his on it. Until he sees a newspaper at right next to his hand. He grabs it, hoping to find a job offering. And sure enough, he found himself one. The job was looking for a night guard position at a popular bar. He decides to give it a shot, as the pay was very high. He picks up his phone, and dials the number on the newspaper, and calls them.
"Hello, this is The Super Star Bar, how may we help you?" A feminine voice spoke through the call.
"Hey, i was wondering if the night guard position was still available?"
"Ah yes, it still is. Would you like to apply to it?"
"Yes, of course. Will i need to make an application form?"
"No need. Just head over to our location and enter our managers office."
He was taken aback for a moment. He was wondering what kind of job wouldn't need an application form? "Oh.. Okay then. When will the interview start?"
"Tomorrow morning at 9 AM."
"Alright. I'll be there sharp." He says before hanging up. By this point, the dog was laying on his bed asleep. He gets up from the couch and stretches himself, hearing the satisfying pop from his back. He walks to his bedroom and turns off the lights in the living room. He opens the door and walks over to his closet and changes into a more comfortable outfit. He covers his mouth to suppress a yawn, before plopping down on the bed and almost immediately sleeps.
'What a day..'
