Shadows

Walking in the forest only hearing silence, felling the grass brush up against your feet , knowing that if the barons spotted me they would called the police about a female not being in a house cleaning. I would then be killed and my owners would then get the money that they paid for me.

*Flashback*

"Shelby, come and clean up this mess that Robby made!" Mrs. Cutright yelled while knitting a babies sock. "Yes, ma'm" I said. " Shelby, why are you so slow, faster Shelby. You know we are having guests over in three hours ." "Yes, I know I'm hurrying ma'm." "Well if you want to get out of this house alive you will hurry and get the job done!"  Mr.Cutright said as he came through the door. "Yes, yes sir I'm go..." Before I could finish Mr.Cutright slapped me across the face leaving me in pain and a huge red mark.I then quickly ran over to the mess. Robby had been painting I could tell because there was finger prints all over the living room. I quickly cleaned them up and went to make food for the ten people that was coming.

I walked in the kitchen and got out the pots for bouling the vegatables. I then got the pot roast out and the big pan that held it. I then got out the broth and poored it in the big pot, then put in the roast and turned the oven on. After 6 minutes I put it in the oven and put an alarm for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

I walked into my owners room where they were and asked if I could go outside and sit on tthe step. They said sure but keep an eye on the food. I went outside and sat on the ground on the deck. Mrs.Cutright had a nice hamick and Mr.Cutright had a soft rocking chair. I had nothing just sat on the ground. My stomach started to groul, I had not eaten in 3 days because I didn't make the kids bed and this was what Mr. Cutright said was disoplen... at least I wasn't being beat.

" Shelby, Rosy isn't feeling to good, could you please go get her some medicine from Aunt Rhonda's house, down the road?"
