PROLOGUE
The 2023 F1 Academy was a motor racing championship that was the inaugural season of the F1 Academy, an all-female Formula 4-level racing series founded and organized under the management of Formula Motorsport Limited.
It had 15 drivers within it, two of which were Taline Bennani and Jendayi Ebeid.
Taline was the first Armenian-Moroccan driver to race competitively in any motorsport, and Jendayi was the first Somali driver, as well as the first female driver to wear a hijab.
They had both previously raced in the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship so they already knew another driver who was part of the F1 Academy, but they knew how strange it would be.
They were best friends and vowed to make it to formula one together so they knew that they both had to stick with each other and support each other in the face of sexism, discrimination and racism.
And that was exactly what they did. Their careers and their friendship was their biggest priorities so everything else was way below them on their list of things to care about.
Racing and each other. That was all that mattered to them both. The fast cars, the high speeds, the sharp corners, the laughs, the smiles, the memories.
They wanted to put their names in the hall of fame, whilst doing it together.
It was the best way to say fuck you to the haters.
