A sketchbook with pages filled with sketches of different animals and bugs appears to be opened by a set of thin, masculine hands to a blank page. The man's hands reached towards a fully quill resting in a bottle of black ink, which he held in his hand. The quill was a portrait of two children, twins, in fact, a boy and a girl.
The boy in the portrait stands tall, his short black hair parted in the middle of his hairline. He is wearing a little boy's sailor suit and holding a hoop in one hand and a stick in the other.
His expression expresses deep anxiety, presumably from standing still for the picture.
At the same time, a white and black spotted dog, presumably his, is seen sitting happily next to the boy, wearing a red collar around his neck.
The girl next to the young boy stood proudly in her sailor dress and hat, her black hair cut short just above her shoulders. She held her arm to the side like a grumpy-looking bird.
A white Umbrella Cockatoo is seen standing on top of the girl's arm, puffed up, presumably mad, to pose for the photo.
Her expression was one of happiness as she smiled wide coquet in contrast to her twin brother's terrified expression.
The man's hand holding the quill begins to draw in ink with different swirls and curls, soon revealing that he is sketching out a butterfly.
The man looks up from his sketchbook to reveal a handsome young man, around 19 years old. He is Victor Van Dort. He is quite tall, standing around six feet tall.
His pale skin from lack of sunlight makes the eye bags under his dark brown eyes stand out a bit. He is incredibly thin, a bit looking like a living stick figure.
He has short, thick black hair that is parted in the middle and slicked back slightly. His prominent bangs, especially on the left side, showcase his very angular facial features, which include a sharp, thin nose and high cheekbones.
He wore a comfortable dark brown Victorian suit and vest with a dark navy blue tie.
The young man smiles a bit proudly as he looks down at his sketch before looking up to see the butterfly he had captured to sketch.
It was a beautiful green butterfly with white spots on its flaps. The butterfly flapped its wings frantically as it tried to escape its glass prison, but alas, it couldn't.
Another butterfly, white with blue spots on its wings, was seen flapping from outside the window of the young man's room, seemingly to try to be as near as possible to the green butterfly, which was captured on the man's desk.
The man lets out a sigh before lifting himself off his seat.
He grabs the latches to the window and opens them gently. Their white butterfly soon flies near the man's head as he takes off the glass around the blue butterfly.
It escapes quickly and flies around the tall man with such happiness as it rejoins the white butterfly that flies quickly towards them.
As they rejoin, they begin to fly around the man near the window in a dance of some sorts.
The man smiles at the happy pair as they fly out of his window and into the gray town.
"Victor? Is everything alright?" A feminine, chipper voice is heard as a hard knock is tapped from outside his bedroom door.
"Hmm? Ah, yes, I'm fine, Y/n. Come in," Viktor says with a timid voice, a bit startled, as the door is slowly opened before a lady's head has peaked around it.
The young, beautiful woman looked quite similar to Victor in appearance. She was around 19 years old, Y/n Van Dort, and close to five' eleven feet tall. She looked to be a bit healthier than her twin brother.
