Purple glowing eyes always indicated that Elvira was beyond mad.
She found this out a month before her 18th birthday. The guardian and director of the orphanage she had called home all these years, informed her not very kindly that her room needed to be vacated on the day she clocked 18. Knowing this was the norm here in the orphanage and having the director gleefully discuss her homelessness saddened her to no end. She was angry at whomever had dump her on the steps of "Amor Children Home". Soon her annoyance turned to anger and she wanted so badly to throw something. But she can't, Mrs. Stones will have her head and she'll go hungry for a week just to pay for the damage. Trying to order her thoughts did not work, she paced back and forth trying all the tricks she knew to control herself. As she paced, a glint in the mirror caught her eyes and she stopped.
Purple? Huh?
"Where did that come from?"
She was so shocked that she forgot all about her anger and before she could look any further , the purple in her eyes dwindled until it disappeared.
She had no idea how her hazel eyes had turned purple. Now she had something to figure out, it was strange enough that she knew she had to keep it a secret. No one could see her eyes do that, especially the Director. Who knows what she'll do.Of course Elvira did find out later what turned her eyes purple, it confused her but she knew now that she had to control her emotions when in company of people.
"Why does this happen to her?" She'd always wonder.
Weak and powerless as she was, this will put her on the freak list should anyone ever find out about it for sure. She just knew this and so Elvira did what she thought impossible and learned how to suppress her emotions.Years of suppressing her emotions has taught her to smile instead of killing something. Even pain could not be revealed. Everything with her was a big emotion.
Even tonight as J and his friends laughed and made merry, all Elvira could think of was how to kill him and enjoy it. Only the thought of the relish she'd feel after accomplishing this had blended her feeling of both rage and extreme joy. This has been her control mechanism for the past years since meeting J.
Excusing herself to visit the ladies, Elvira walked elegantly after only whispering briefly to J.
Her lithe body swung seductively as she knew J would have expected of her. Slipping almost too slowly out of view knowing fully well every man's attention would be on her, J included. The sick bastard derived joy watching her from afar. None of his friends knew how truly depraved he was. Or maybe they did, seeing as they were equally sick. These parties were only held whenever J was beginning to feel in adequate, he liked to reaffirm to himself that he still had it.
Safely in the bathroom now, Elvira watched a particularly sweet looking girl get into one of the bathroom stalls. She didn't know what such a young girl was doing in a place such as this but Elvira felt the need to protect her at least for the next 10 minutes. She wasn't allowed to interfere in these things. J would kill her if she did. Her only job was to arouse every man in the room, then the women if she could pull it off. She most certainly always did. If not arousal, some level of attraction or even envy was enough where the women were concerned.
During these parties, J spared no expenses on her outfits, looks and sex appeal. Anything that makes her the envy and sensation of the night served him well.
Just before Elvira locked the door to the restroom, she felt more than saw J's henchmen block the exits and entrances of the beautiful hall that would soon be nothing like where she just left minutes ago when she returns.
Signing inwardly, she proceeds to lock the door.
It wasn't long after she locked the door before the screams and screeching of the finely dressed and sexually aroused people partying just seconds ago reached her. She steadily leaned against that door and waited for it to end like she had always done.Today the sounds were clearer that they used to be. She could hear the sounds of bone crack like she was standing right next to the victim when it happened. The sounds were so loud she couldn't block them out no matter her hard she tried.
A rattling on the door, drew her attention to the stall she'd locked right after the girl went in."I'd stop doing that if I were you. They'll hear you and come for you too". Elvira said in a whisper.
Somehow J's hearing was crazy good. She'd never understood it. Now she could hear things happening all the way in the hall as well. Maybe he had somehow given her some of the bug that made him so well. She had to admit though that J's hearing was better than that. She could swear he could hear things farther than he pretended to hear.
"What the hell was he?" She thought, not for the first time since she found out.
Another rattling on the door distracted her from her musings and now when she wasn't thinking about it, the screams weren't so loud now.
"Did you lock the fucking door?" The girl screamed.
Shit!
"Shut the fuck up!" Elvira thought, wary of landing in trouble herself. Knowing J, he wouldn't appreciate it if someone he'd buttered up and fed tonight escaped the fate he had carefully planned for his guests tonight.
Before she could warn the girl again that she was keeping her there for her own good, Elvira noticed the door had stopped rattling.
Seemed the girl had some sense after all. She really didn't have a way of explaining to her that she was locking her in that tiny bathroom stall because her weird dad or whatever the hell her relationship with J was, was enjoying himself watching people be killed or doing the killings himself, she wasn't sure. She had never seen him bloodied after every such special occasion. Come to think of it, neither has she seen any of his men with blood stains.
Every time this happened, it was always with about the same set of people. She wasn't sure what happened in these few minutes but the second time J had put her up to this, she'd realised she'd heard screaming. She hadn't been sure so she'd tried to ask one of his henchmen secretly but of course J heard it and was on her in seconds.
He'd warned her never to ask questions if she didn't want to wake up disoriented as she used to be before J found a good use of her and stopped putting her to sleep for no reason. She hated those times. She'd wake up with a niggling nudge at the back of her head telling her to run that something was wrong. Which was why after one of those times, she'd woken up to see herself naked on an unfamiliar bed and had screamed for her dad to explain why and what was happening...
A knock on the door snapped her out of her thought.
She looked quickly to at the bathroom hoping the girl will have the good sense to wait a good 30 minutes before unlocking the stall."I heard a shout in here, open this door Elvira. You know J won't like it."
Shit! One of the men heard her.
"No one's in here, you know I always check. J insists I do."
"Do you think I'm stupid? You know J will hear it if I did." He sneered.
But Elvira knew that J seemed less attentive when he was having too much fun. This qualified as one of those times. She could risk it, at least she hoped so.
