I woke up while it was still dark out. I shook Jonas awake and told him we had to get up to chop wood.  Things have gotten better in the work camp. With the help of Nikolai, we have all gotten warmer clothes, coats, hats, gloves, blankets and pillows, fresh water and food. We have also been given good supplies to build better jurtas. Whilst Jonas and I were walking to cut wood, I passed by Nikolai. He grabbed my arm to stop me. "I have some good news" Nikolai stated, "Today everyone here will be transported back to their original work camp." I smiled really big and my eyes started to water. I'm going to see Andrius again, I thought. "Pack your bags, Vilkas. We are leaving here in three hours," he said.

    I ran up to him and hugged him. "Thank you," I whispered. I let go of him and ran off to get Jonas and pack my bags. Jonas seemed extremely shocked and excited. We quickly gathered our stuff and crammed all of it into our bags. The NKVD started going to each hurts and telling us to pack up. Jonas and I were already ready. When the ship's arrived Jonas and I got to get on them first since we were the first ones ready. There were surprisingly rooms for each family so Jonas and I had a room to our selves. We settled in and watched everyone else board the ship. We started moving about an hour after we boarded the ship.

One month Later

It was finally time. The guards were about to open the door of the cattle car and let us go back to our old labor camp. My heart was beating out of my chest at the thought of reuniting with Andrius. The guards opened the door. The first thing I saw was a boy with wavy brown hair and piercing blue eyes staring at me. I jumped out of the cattle car and jumped into his arms. he fell back into the grass and I fell in top of him. He looked me deeply in the eyes and then kissed me passionately.
