One ring...
Two rings...
Three rings..."Hello?" A soft voiced Lydia answers.
"Hey airhead, we should hangout soon." Alaine says.
"Finally. I was begging for you to ask." Lydia sits up as she realizes who it is.
"Yeah, I know, and I'm sorry I haven't. I've just been tired and been bathing in the stress free summer time." Alaine apologizes.
"Don't worry, I understand. Anyways where do you want to go? And when?" Lydia asks excitedly.
"Anywhere, really. We could...go rollerskating? Oh yeah, remember the new one opened up a few avenues down from the high school?"
"Oh my god, totally!" Lydia practically yells into Alaine's ear.
Alaine smiles over the phone and her mood immediately lightens.
"We could go on Saturday?" Alaine asks sweetly.
"We could go everyday of the week if we wanted to, Alaine." Lydia corrects her.
They laugh over the phone for a moment.
"So, do you want to bring anyone?" Alaine asks.
"Um, no. I think it'd be cool if we just went together." Lydia says.
"Alright, so Saturday at 5:00 pm?"
Lydia chuckles.
"Yes, let's stick with Saturday."
"Tubular." Alaine says.
"Tubular." Lydia mimics.
They break into laughter for a few minutes. Each others laugh causing each other to laugh. Fortunately, it was a slow die down of laughter.
They truly do have a lot of love for each other.
"Anyways, I'm tired. Love you, bye." Alaine says quickly before setting the phone back down.
