"One tall Lemonade please." Whitney asks the young Starbucks employee

"Okay, can I have your name?"

"Whitney"

Across the small Starbucks in the little town named Cherish, Whitney sees the handsome young Ben Buckwalter, with his green eyes sparkling from the single ray of light making its way through the window, she's completely taken by him. As he reads his book he smiles a little and let's out a little snicker she cannot help but smile.

"Whitney!" The young woman says trying to get Her attention.

She quickly is pulled out of her daze, and grabs her lemonade and tries to make it out of the door quickly, but that wasn't the case, As soon as Whitney turned to go out the door, she trips and spills her lemonade everywhere! Everyone is staring at her and she is red as can be, no one moves except Ben Buckwalter, he grabs a handful of napkins and goes over to Whitney and picks her helpless body on the Starbucks floor up.

"Thank you" Whitney stuttered quietly

"Not a problem" Ben smiled

"... You don't have to help me this isn't your mess"

She immediately was embarrassed again because her statement came across rudely.

"No. I want to help." Ben explains as he's smiling.

Whitney just blushes and grabs some napkins off of a nearby table, by now everyone is minding their own business and no one is watching the young teens.

As they pick up some of the spilled drink the employee comes over with a mop to clean the sticky mess.

"Let me by you a new lemonade" Ben insisted

"No, I couldn't possibly ask you to do that for me"

"Well since I wasn't asking I will be right back"

As Ben walks away Whitney is taken by his kindness and of course his smile but she knows that every girl in Cherish wanted him to be theirs. She didn't stand a chance.

When Ben came back he had the new lemonade, Whitney stood up and Ben handed her the cold lemonade and smiled.

"Thank you so much, but really how much do I owe you?"

"Not a single dime. Well I mean I guess you could repay me by giving me your number." He let out a little snicker "I mean if you don't mind"

Whitney smiled and grabbed a napkin from the table next to them and wrote her name and number on it. As she handed Ben the napkin she could feel herself turning red once again. "You could call or text me anytime " she smiled knowing he probably would not message her any time soon.

He smiled he took the Starbucks napkin from her hand and said "Count on it.....Whitney."

As Ben walked back to the table where his stuff laid Whitney could not stop smiling. After Ben picked up his coat he walked out the door, Whitney watched him leave and couldn't believe what had just happened to her. About 2 minutes after Ben left the Starbucks Whitney got a phone call from a unknown number she answered
"Umm hello"

"Good you gave me the right number"
she recognized the familiar voice and couldn't help but smile.
