It all started in the forest when Lilia was going to pick mushrooms for her mother because her mother was going to make mushroom soup for dinner. She saw a whole bunch of chanterelles and goes towards the dark part of the forest and starts picking the chanterelles. After a few minutes she hears something breathing in her right ear, she looks up slowly and sees a pair of completely white shining eyes, she screamed so loud that her voice became completely hoarse and her whole body panicked and she accidentally dropped the basket with all the mushrooms in, she ran so fast that it was almost as fast as lightning back home.
When she got home completely out of breath, she tried to tell her mother but her mother couldn't hear a word from Lilia.
- But Lilia, Sweetie, you have to calm yourself down, I can barely hear anything. Here, sit down in the armchair and I'll make you tea.
Lilia did as her mother said and sat down but was a little annoyed with herself for not being able to speak because she was screaming so loudly.
- Here drink some tea and you will feel better later and we can talk about what happened later when you feel better.
Lilia drank the tea and already felt better in her voice, she tried not to think about those pure white shining eyes that she saw so as not to panic again but it was like her thoughts betrayed her. She tried to fall asleep in the dark purple armchair but failed.When it was time for lunch, Lilia told her mother everything that happened in the forest, but she did not "believe" her.
- Nonsense, it was probably just your wild imagination playing with you.
But really, only Lilia's mother said that because Grandfather had seen the exact same figure and she didn't want to scare Lilia.
- Now I think we shouldn't talk about it any more, it's autumn holidays soon.
- Are you full Lilia?
- Yes Mother
- Okay that's good because we don't have much bread left for tomorrow so don't eat any more, you can go up to your room until I tell you when dinner is ready but don't forget to go out again and pick herbs for the medicine for the people before it's dinner time honey.
Lilia walked away from the dining table, up the stairs past all the paintings of her ancestors on the right way up to her room but she didn't know what she wanted to do in her room so she crept down the stairs carefully, quiet as a mouse because she was so curious that it almost burst inside that her mother looked like she knew something when Lilia told her mother about what had happened to her in the forest. She heard her mother talking to someone in the living room but didn't see who, she crept up to the door to see who it was and to be able to hear the conversation more clearly.
