"Do you think we went too far?" Liv asked when Damian returned to the room, edging off the bed. It had been hard to find a thong and bandeau top that looked close enough to her skin tone to be convincing, so she was glad Rhea hadn't stomped over and tugged on the sheet. "She sounded really upset."
Damian shrugged. "Good. She deserves to be. She messed up a good thing with you, and I think she's finally starting to realize that." He walked around the room and picked up her clothes, setting them on the foot of the bed. "Good job with the moans. Though now I don't think I could ever actually fuck you, because I wouldn't sure if you were being genuine or not."
Liv laughed as she slid out of the bed. The plan had been Finn and Damian's since they were tired of Rhea's sulking. Finn had taken Rhea's luggage—Damian offered, but Finn worried about Rhea seeing it in his room—and then texted once Rhea was on her way to Damian's room to get a spare pair of pants. Liv and Damian had already scattered her clothes around the room and messed up the sheets by play wrestling, so all they had to do was make some convincing moans. That was the part Liv was most worried about, but at least Damian thought she sounded genuine. And Rhea thought it sounded TOO real, she thought, biting her lip with worry. "Yeah, well, Rhea might not want me any more now either...."
"Nah." Damian sat down on the bed and patted the spot beside him, draping an arm around her shoulders. "Rips is a stubborn one. Sometimes she doesn't realize what she wants until she sees someone else with it, you know? She got to thinking she could just get you back whenever she wanted, and now she's not so sure. Don't worry." He kissed the top of her head and stood. "Finn and I will talk to her tomorrow. I'll go get dressed in the bathroom," he said. "I'll knock when I'm done."
"Thanks." Liv waited until the bathroom door was closed and then she got dressed as quickly as she could, tucking her decoy bra and panties in her purse, which was tucked under the bed. Then she put her hair up in a quick ponytail and looked around the room to make sure she wasn't forgetting anything. She doubted Rhea would say anything to anyone backstage, but the last thing she needed was to forget something and have Damian return it. Good luck convincing Rhea of anything after that, she thought. She was just sliding her boots on when she heard a knock. "Done!" she called out.
"Now I've got lube stains all over my jeans. But if hadn't done that, with my luck, she probably would have yanked my pants down." Damian laughed. "Would serve me right if I had to go and borrow gear from Rhea, huh?" He went to the suite's door and opened it, looking outside. "Coast is clear. See you at the show. Thanks for helping."
"I'm still not so sure it helped," Liv replied, twisting her purse strap in her hands, "but if you and Finn think it'll push her—"
"I do," Damian said firmly, "and so does Finn. Like I said, we'll tell her the truth tomorrow. We don't want her to suffer. We just want her to get her head out of her ass. Being this—the Eradicator, a member of Judgment Day—doesn't mean she can't still be with you. She should know that. No one's that strict with kayfabe anymore."
"I hope you're right." Since no one was around, Liv gave Damian a quick hug. "Thank you for looking out for her. I've been worried about her, but I didn't feel like it was my place...."
Damian shook her head. "It's all good. We'll get her sorted out. And then you'll be back to moaning like that for real," he teased, winking at Liv.
Liv hurried down to her room before Damian could see how much she was blushing. She had been worried about Rhea, even just as a friend, but if she could get her back, it would all be worth it.
