Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock

The clock in the dim, blank white room chimes. I sit upon a white chair, my hands resting upon a metal table top in front of me.

Tick, Tock

"You do know why you are here, correct?" Asks the uniformed man standing, waiting at the opposite end of the table.

"No sir. Not at all, with not a simple hint 'nor clue." Staring, gazing into nothingness. Nothing will ease my mind, not now within this interrogation.

Tick, Tock

Staring, blankly at the arms with meaning. I focus on wondering into the thoughts of my mind. But, no matter how I will try, my eyes will never leave 'nor forget those dreaded circled numbers with arms. "A suspect, my dear acquaintance. For the horrible death, the honorable passing. For the murder of Mr. Zene Diamond up near Hill and Crossing.

Tick, Tock

"I have not a clue as to what had happened during the event." I reply. That man, that Zene Diamond was murdered last night. I heard the news this morning from Mrs. Marie next door, who at the time was tending her garden. "A knife." Was what she said. "They say a knife pierced straight through his heart. Found in a puddle of his own blood. It has been rumored that a dent was found on the spine from the wound." At this time she had brushed the dirt off her hands and was shaking her head. "That poor, poor man."

Tick, Tock

The uniformed officer stared into my soul. "Then please, tell me where you were at 12:31 lat night, on the dawning of June 27."

"Down at the Castle." I reply, eyes unmoving. "That old restaurant on the corner of Loran and Barlor. I left at 11:42, and arrived home at 12:01. Ask Mrs. Marie and the doorman. They can confirm, tell you the same." The officer walks out the creaky, grey metal door. Shutting it tight, unmoving behind him. Leaving me waiting, pondering on what will happen.

Tick, Tock

The man comes back in a few minutes later, staring, telling me I can go. Walking me to the entrance of the station and away from that clock. Out of the station, he takes me over to a car. "Get in." Says he. "I will take you to your home, seeing that your alibi checks off. Tell me, please, tell me. Where is your home?" I reply with a simple, "The last house, the cream colored 1 story house with two windows on the front, on Coral Street."

Tick, Tock

This has been the third devastating, terrible loss the town has faced. The first was a fierce and widely known woman who went by the name of Katil Spade. She was feared, as a woman of power in the service, I couldn't blame them. She went missing exactly two months ago. The next was a beautiful woman, the towns mayor. Her name was Regina Club. Her disappearance happened exactly a month after the first disappearance. The police could never find a clue as to what happened. The bodies were never found, and the two were declared dead. This murder was unusual, which is why the police are up on it. Zene Diamond disappeared three weeks ago. It was in the same sense of Ms. Katil Spade and Mrs. Regina Club. This is the only body they found, which was rumored to be in the middle of a field of roses. He was a star musician until his untimely disappearance.
