The daycare attendants' princess

Chapter 4: Vanessa

It has been about three months since Melody was being taken care of by Sun and moon, Sun was cleaning up the daycare from the children.

He sighed and smiled. He saw Vanessa entering the daycare and groaned! "Ah, Vanessa! How are you doing today?"

She sighed. "Sun.. a mother has reported her daughter to been missing for a while. Her name is Melody! If you see her, please let me know!"

Sun sighed. "What will happen to her if you find her?" Vanessa groaned. "I'll send her back to her mother to be dealt with!"

Sun growled. "There's also been a little boy that's missing, probably doesn't have a family. If you want to know where he is.. he's hiding inside Freddy's stomach hatch!"

Vanessa smiled. "Thank you sun!" He smiled back. "You're welcome Vanessa!"
Vanessa sighed before she leaves. "And another thing Sun.."

Sun looks confused. "Yes?" Vanessa sighed. "Look I know you don't mean to scare kids.. but we're getting law suits because of it.."

Vanessa sighed. "We're going to have to make improvements with you. To make sure you're not as scary." Sun looked at Vanessa with a sigh. "That's fine with me..."

Vanessa growled. "And if you are hiding that little girl. And if you don't tell me about that, you will be taken to parts and services to be dismantled"

Sun gulped. "Well good thing I'm not! Haha, now.. before you leave can you turn the lights off so that moon can come out, so I can rest?"

Vanessa smiled. "Of course, goodnight sun. See you in the morning!" She turned off the lights and left.

Moon came out and sighed. "What are we going to do Sun.." Sun Didn't reply after a minute and a half. "I don't care what happens to us.. as long as she's safe in our care, that's all I care about."

Melody played with her toys, keeping very quiet and reading them stories. Moon walked up to where she was in his room. "Melody, my precious starlight. It's time for bed"

Melody sighed. "But I'm not tired!" Moon glared at her. "Melody..." Melody groaned. "Fine.. but can you at least read me a story?"

Moon smiled. "Of course!" He tucked her in getting her a glass of warm milk as well. "Are you comfy?" Melody smiled softly. "Yes, I am.."

Moon sat down beside her.  "once upon a time, there was a princess.. she lived in a large castle in the clouds. one night the princess looked out her bedroom window at the stars, she wondered how many beautiful things are up there? so she climbed onto the roof of the castle and tried to touch the stars with her own hands. But when she tried to touch the stars, she almost fell off the roof of the castle, but the moon sent her a guardian, who always protected her, in which he still does till this very day!"

He could hear her softly snoring and she held him close and he fell asleep as well.

Vanessa snarled. "Freddy.." Freddy looked at her. "Officer Vanessa, what a pleasant surprise!" Vanessa glared. "Open your stomach hatch! Now!"

Freddy did as told and there he was.. Gregory! "You have given me a lot of trouble young man.. what would your parents think?"

Gregory yelled. "I HAVE NO PARENTS!! My.. parents died in a car crash.."
Vanessa stopped in her tracks. "Then where are you living?"

Gregory sighed. "On the streets underneath a cardboard box"
Vanessa gasped. "So that's why you're here.. to keep warm?"

Gregory held Freddy's hand after getting out. "And to be treated like someone cares.. Freddy is family to me, and that's saying something, I don't trust anyone to get close to me.. cause I'm afraid they'd hurt me."

Vanessa looked at Gregory. "And let me guess. That's the same way with Melody?"
Gregory sighed. "It's worse for her, her parents are both abusive.. it was her father, that moon killed.. but her mothers worse.. so if Sun and moon are hiding her.. they're protecting her.. away from her parents."

Vanessa looked shocked. "Well, if they are.. then I guess they're doing their job. Protecting her.. she must've been so scared.."

Gregory sighed. "Trust me... she was!"
Gregory looked over gently seeing moon walk the hall. "But they seem to be better for her.. she's been abused for too long"

Vanessa sighed and looked over at moon. "Moon come here." Moon gulped but walked over. "Yes Vanessa my little starlight?"

Vanessa sighed. "You and Sun can keep the girl, just protect her okay?" Moon looked happy and hugged Vanessa. "Don't worry Vanessa, we'll protect her until the day we get decommissioned!"

And that was a promise that he was willing to keep.
