After the last bell rang, I ran out the door immediately. I didn't want Verren to be there first and start to tease me.

That is the only thing I want to avoid.

I ran till my lungs were playing music begging for air. I kept panting like I had a disease.

My bag was hanging from my shoulder as I bent down, trying to catching my breath. My bangs were wet, it was disgusting.

I looked around me and saw several people staring at me. Some girls were laughing at me. I glared at them and brushed them off.

I walked into the cafe and ordered a chocolate mocha frapp and headed to a couch near a window.
I sat down and grabbed my little note book. I crossed my legs and began sketching and writing song lyrics.

I don't play any instruments so I can't actually produce my own music. My dream is to be a singer but if that doesn't work out, I want open a bakery.

I waited there for almost 5 minutes and that demon still hasn't shown up.

I texted Ronny while waiting at the cafe. I couldn't stand waiting anymore. I searched through my Whatsapp contacts for Verren's name. As soon as I found him I asked where he was.

3 minutes of no reply and no sign of Verren. If it wasn't for school, I would have just walked up and leave.

Just as I was about to call Verren, someone sat down next to me. I turned my head to be greeted by a pair of crystal baby blue eyes.

I wrinkled my nose. Glaring at his devilish grin as he looked at me.

"Why are you late?" I crossed my arms and legs as I turned my back on him.

He didn't say anything. He just simply took a sip from his cup and scrolled on his phone.

This is the kind of attitude I do not want to work with.

I clear my throat hoping to get his attention and thankfully it did.

He rose an eyebrow at me. "What?" Asking cluelessly.

"Did you not hear me just a few minutes ago?"

I scanned the table trying to avoid his eyes. I just noticed he got the same drink as mine, and he just put his books on the table too. Typical.

I turned my head slightly so I could see him. He shrugged at my question. I rolled my eyes and grunted.

"Why were you late?" I repeated my first question.

Verren shifted from his sitting position into a more comfortable one. "Oh, I was late because I went over to your house first."

Wait, my house? What was he doing there? I glared at him to get more answers out of him. He got the message and continued.

"I went to your house because I was checking if you were trying to escape our little meet up."

He mockingly bat his eyes and smiled. I rolled my eyes and turned my back on him once again. He chuckled. I felt an arm around my shoulders. I peaked at Verren and saw his arm around me while he drank his frapp.

"Would it hurt for you to move your ass over to the couch in front of me?" I asked trying to sound friendly as I can as I shifted awkwardly and uncomfortablely.

He looked up from his phone, sighed then placed his phone on the table and looked at me with lazy eyes. "Yes." He replied. "Yes it would. I actually hurt my back while playing basketball with the team." He reached out for his back to point out his pain area.

"Aww..." I gave him a sad look. "That's sad." Saying in a cute tone.

"I know. Its kind of you to be concern for me." Verren smirked.

"Oh no. I meant that's sad your spine didn't break instead." I laughed.

Verren's once smirk broke into an annoyed frown. He glared at me and laughed sarcasticly. He was over doing it though. Everyone in the cafe gave us weird looks, if possible, even weirder looks.

I then realized why. Verren still had his arms around me and most of the people in the cafe were people from my school.

This is gonna be the next hot gossip isn't it?

I pushed Verren, almost knocking his off the couch. I wish he would fall. He rubbed his ass and sat back down next to me.

"Can you just sit across from me?" I asked frustratedly. Verren shook his head. "Sorry but no. I'm sitting here and you'll have to deal with it.

"I thought you said you wanted some space."

"I had my space. Now.I'm invading yours." He chuckled.

I could literally punch him in the stomach right now but I need him alive for the assignment.

I gave up. Like I often do. I took a sip from my cup and got back to texting Ronald.

"Are you seriously texting another person right now?"

I turned my head to Verren's direction. He had a sour look on his face.

Why would he care if I'm texting someone else. Besides, he too was on his phone not too long ago.

I shrugged at him. "What's wrong with that?"

I honestly don't know what's bugging him so much.

"Well firstly, its rude. Secondly, its an act of antisocialness. Thirdly, you have me." He held out three fingers in my face and winked.

"You're impossible." I groaned. "You were on your phone too!"

His eyes darted over to his phone and back to me. He wore a smile, which is totally not suspicious. "I was checking my phone because I was asking someone for a good spot for frog hunting."

"That's no different from what I was doing!" I threw a few napkins in his head.

"Yeah well anyway, who were you texting?"

"You have no rights to know!"

What's his deal? I know he likes to get all up in my business but is just annoying me to the core.

He shook his head and brushed it off like nothing happened.

He took out his phone and showed me a pic of what seems to be a pond.

"Quary Park." He said.

I looked at him confused. He rolled his eyes and explained more.

"My friend told me Quary Park has the most frogs in this town."

"Oh great. So we'll leave now then?" I packed my stuff and was ready to stand up but Verren pulled my down. "What is it?"

"What's the rush? Its only 3 in the afternoon. Why don't we kick back and relax." He pat the seat where I just sat.

I rolled my eyes at him but he only grinned. "Fine. But I do not accept physical contact."

"Considered myself warned." He chuckled.
