Chapter 3:Shock
Dahvie’s Point of view:
I couldn’t believe my eyes. No wait that’s clichéd. All motions around me and in me stopped. My heart felt like melted stone had froze round it, tightening until I could no longer function anything. Hayley disintegrated right beside me. Everything dissolved as I saw the devil blood escape from Jayy’s flesh. I dropped the monster on the floor of the bus causing it to smash and fizz while exploding everywhere. This can’t be. All I did was let him go cool down. He was bothered by the lyrics and I didn’t want to upset him any more. It’s my entire fault. I went to remove the blade slowly from his grasp as I saw Hayley run for the first aid kit but Jayy wouldn’t have any of it. He turned away balling. The blood taking over, becoming more of an addiction to his body than drinking or smoking had ever been. The moment Hayley arrived back with the overloading first aid kit I saw her waver and shake. I motioned her to my room and she locked the door, where I heard deep breaths and her sinking to the floor. As for me, I wasn’t moving till my angel from Satan was clean and patched up, from his heart to his body.
I was aware of his emotions and the blade between his fingers so there was nothing else to do but talk and sooth him till he drops the blade. He wouldn’t do any more until I was gone, so if I stayed he couldn’t do anything else.
“Jayy? Jayy... I’m sorry man, I didn’t realise how hard it was. It’s my fault, I feel awful.” He twitched. That was it, but it meant he was listening. “Jayy, dude, I love you. I mean it. Probably more than I think. I’m not kidding. And I’m sorry; I never stopped to think how quick I was trying to complete the lyrics. I didn’t even stop to check it was okay with you. But you know I would do anything, anything to help. I know what’s happened in the pa-“
“it’s not about the past Dahv’. The past is done and gone. It’s me being idiotic.” At this point he was moving the hand clutching the blade slowly to his thigh. I moved slowly, one hand after the other and lifted myself as lightly as I could onto his bunk. Jayy placed the silver blade onto his second canvas-his thigh where I overlapped my hand softly over his and entwined my fingers so I could latch them round the blade and carefully remove it.
“It’s over Jayy, like you said, it’s the past baby. It can’t come back”
Jayy’s Point of view:
“It won’t come back because I won’t let it. I promise, I’ll do all I can and stick by you every second.” Dahvie carried on, he was sat on my bunk now after the slow motion events of ten minutes ago. I turned slowly, not to face him but to rest into his shoulder where he pulled me into a comforting hug, protecting me from the blade he had hidden from me. I had no idea where- but for the longest time in a while, it didn’t matter. I felt protected for the first time since I was a child.
“I’ll never leave you, no matter what. Jayy I have something to tell you, it’s rather stra-“
After all he’d done I couldn’t resist. I kissed him. A soft but passionate kiss, that meant more than any on stage or before bed. It was love. I gave him all my love in one kiss, my ever lasting love for the oh-so crazy and beautiful Dahvie Vanity who sat cradling me.
I don’t know what had come over me, my wet tear-covered lips entwined with his full sweet lips and although he hesitated at first, digging his fingers into my knees as he first tried to push me away, he did kiss back, his cute pout that attached to mine and not letting go as a rubbed my hands up his back and up his neck where I place my “Lady” hand and let my “Like” hand wrap his ultra-violet hair round my fingers. His fingers retracted from my knees and ran over my thighs, lightly brushing my scars in sorrow and rubbed my fading ones too proving to me he cares. Lastly his hands ran over my shoulders where they reached out and hugged my neck to then softly stroke my cheeks as we reluctantly pulled away from our first real, meaningful kiss. <3
