" Many centuries ago, magic jewels bestowing extraordinary powers were created. These were... the Miraculous. Throughout history, heroes have used these jewels for the good of the human race. Three of these Miraculous are more powerful than the others; the earrings of the Ladybug, which provide the power of astonishing creation; The amulet of the hare, which grants exceptional power of acceleration; and the ring of the Black Cat, which grants the ultimate power of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both these jewels at the same time, will achieve absolute power."

"I want that absolute power, Nooroo. I must have those Miraculous!"

"But nobody knows where these Miraculous are!"

"I found you though, my little Nooroo. Your Miraculous... remind me of its powers again."

"The Moth Brooch allows you to give someone their own superpowers and to make that person your devoted follower!"

"And when it comes to luring superheroes, what could be better than creating supervillains?"

"But master, the Miraculous are not meant to be used for evil purposes!"

"I must have this absolute power! Your Miraculous is in my control! I am your master now, and you must obey me!"

Nooroo sighs

"Yes, master"

"Nooroo, dark wings, and rise! From this day on, I shall be known as... Hawk Moth."

Mireille Aveline yawns, fluttering her eyes open too none other than the ceiling. Rubbing the side of her face, she remembered it was the first day of school. She gasped, picking up her phone on her bedside table checking the time, to notice she's up at the right time if she wants to get to school early, letting out a sigh of relief.

Slipping into her skirt and putting the bow in her hair, she walked down stairs, heading for the kitchen.

"Morning mom, morning dad!"

She yelled out to her parents, her mother helping her younger sister anya get ready for school, while her dad was working in his office, typing away at his computer. None taking their eyes of their tasks, but it was all good; they did care.

"Morning honey! I made some pancakes for you! Some are still cooking if you need more."

Her mother held Anya down trying to brush her hair, as mireille peaked in the sizzling pan, revealing what could only describe as burning pancake moisture.

She poked at the batter in the pan with the spatula, gripping the handle tightly; flipping the pancake onto a plate so it wouldn't be ruined anymore than it could, spreading warm melting butter all over its steaming surface.

Peaking at the clock on the microwave, she noticed school starts in fifteen minutes.

'How long was I in the shower...'

Chewing on the last bite of her pancake, she sinks her teeth in another, keeping it in her mouth as she slung the straps of her bag around her shoulders; while popping on her helmet heading for the door.

"Bye mom and dad! Bye Anya!"

"Bye sweetie! Hold still Anya.."

Rushing out the door, she raced down the steps on her apartment building to the outside entrance, making her way to her bike. Unlocking it and getting in the saddle.
Pedalling off, biking to school takes about 5 minutes, as it was now ten minutes till the bell.
