Early Spring - Alessandra

The wind blew gently through the naked tree branches. While they currently stood barren, it was only a matter of days before the leaves began to sprout.

Today the sun shone over Lillehammer for the first time in months and it continued to spread its refreshing rays as dusk neared.

Alessandra was taking the afternoon off, just to savour this blessing. Next week's weather was promising warmer temperatures but overcast and rainy skies.

She was sitting at a bench by the water, just soaking in the sun, when a woman sat down next to her. Already, Alessandra could feel a certain aura around her. It felt warm, welcoming, just like the spring sun.

"N̶̝͐͜i̵̻͌c̶̤̤̈́e̸͔̔́ ̶̢̛̘̔w̵̖̽e̶͈̿a̴̛̺̰͠t̷͔̏̓h̷͖̄͑ĕ̶̟͚̾ṙ̸͍̋ ̸͖̅̇t̵͇̗͑ǫ̴̟̈ḓ̷̀͑a̴̧͇͗̊ỷ̶̨̯"

The woman said.

Alessandra blinked, perplexed by the sound of the words. She completely understood the meaning of them, but her brain could not seem to understand the words themselves. It was like when you did something out of muscle memory, but then had to stop, so your brain could catch up. But while her brain could not make sense of the words, they somehow sounded familiar. Like she should know them.

"Uhm, yeah haha... it's sad it won't last longer"

She answered in English.

"T̶̬͂h̴͔̣̾ḙ̸̼̇ ̴͖̾ṣ̴̓̂ų̶̟͝n̵̝͆̀ ̸̥̆̈́w̴̡̰̓̽i̴͎͋̓͜l̶̞̝̈́̂l̵̼̐ͅ ̷̘͐̈r̶̡̰͗͝e̴̢̜͂t̴͉͝ͅư̴̦͙r̷͓̞͆̈́n̶̮̲̄ ̷̥̆s̵͔͕̐o̶̪̪̅͑ơ̷͇̯̚ǹ̴̖e̶̻̾r̵͎̘͆̏ ̵͖̊ṭ̸̃h̴̜̽͊a̷̭͊̈n̵̡͎̄ ̴̝͖͐y̷͓̖̓̔o̵̢̭̽̊ủ̷̼̺͗ ̸͕̥̾̓t̸̲͂h̷̺̯̕i̴̛̙̓ń̷̨͜k̷̤͌͜͝"

"I hope so... well, I should get going"

Alessandra stood up, but then noticed the woman's face. Her eyes sparkled like golden light on the sea. She smiled and stands up too, revealing to be much much taller, her long brown hair flowing down her curvy figure. Alessandra also noticed that there were flower buds in the midst of the curls. She could not help but blush a little.

Before she could say anything, the woman produced a flower crown of moss campions, arctic chickweed, daffodils and daisies with saxifraga cotyledons woven around two white lilies.

"Oh, thank you"

Alessandra said after the crown was placed on her head. The woman's smile grew, then she kissed her on the cheek. A wave of warmth spread through her body, as light blinded her for a moment.

The sun shone in reds, pinks and oranges over the treetops. Alessandra looked around for the woman, but she had vanished into thin air.

Her body was warm, her heart pounding in her chest. The crown sat on her head as a reminder that this did just happen.
