Well, it's only the first day of seventh grade, the one of many several first days. This shall be good.
"Hey, Peso!" yelled Juraan from across the big gym.
Ugh, of course he's found me within my first few steps in the building.
"Hey," I awkwardly mutter towards him.
"How was your summer, Peso?" Juraan asked with a bunch of joy in his voice.
I hate people like him full of joy for no reason he is just so annoying.
"Great," sarcastically finds its way out of my mouth.
"Awh, well that's fantastic! What-" I interrupt him, "I'm sorry I have to go get a schedule, talk to you later," I lie.
Now that was what I call, death taking.
The day goes by, as it does and thankfully, I make it through.
It's the end of the day and now all I dread of school is the bus ride home.
Walking out I see my boyfriend, JaDani, and get a hug and kiss and hop on the bus.
I pull out my headphones and plug them in quickly turning on any noise I can. That way I don't have to listen to any of this nonsense anyone has to say on this damn bus.
Headphones are pretty amazing if you think about them. I mean they might not be if you REALLY think about them. But from what I know, they are freaking incredible, they are little speakers for only your ears. They seperate you from the real world. It's like just if you take some strings and cups and well ah you have a phone. The creator of headphones was like I'm going to take string and smaller cups and make little phones for your ears except they won't be made for phone calls, just music, or separation.
"Hold on!" I practically scream at the bus driver. I almost missed my stop, I guess that's what I get for getting so hiped up about headphones.
I get off the bus and start walking home while still listening to my "noise" as I call it. That is what it basically is, noise. There are different types of noises though, the kind people enjoy, and the kind people would rather jump off a bridge into a highway with speeding cars than listen to. But, don't get me wrong, this type of noise is the kind to enjoy, music is my life, I love it.
As I walk in to my "home of torture", I take one of my headphones out knowing someone is going to ask me how my day was and walk up the stairs of DOOM. Don't get freaked, they're just normal stairs that lead to the living room where everyone is always in the way and saying something rude to someone while someone else is struggling to hear the tv because of it. That's the average day for our house.
"How was your day?" asked my father.
"Groovy," I said with no expression on my face and quickly walk to my room to avoid any other conversation I could have.
When I get in my room I shut the door quickly. I take my shoes off and put down my heavy bag and lay on my bed. I look at my battery percentage and it seems to be dying so I plug it in, while still listening to music and slowly drift away into deep sleep.
The Next Morning
I swear I am always being woke up because of a dumb reason. Loud tv is on anime. Sounds like a great thing to wake up to, right? No.
I get ready for school and get down to the bus stop as soon as possible, with my buds in. I don't like talking to people in the morning. I mean I don't really like talking to people at all but you can't really avoid that. Also, I like to pretend I'm deaf sometimes and turn up my music really loud so I can't hear anyone. I am slowly learning ASL, American Sign Language, so that's also why. Plus, it could come in handy someday.
When I get to school I find JaDani as fast as I can and we start talking.
"Hey! How are you, cutie?" I ask him.
*waits a long second to respond*
"I'm okay, what about you?" He says miserably.
"Eh, I'm okay, just glad to see you. Why are you just okay?"
"Because my back hurts and I'm really tired," he replies.
"Well, that's unfortunate I hope you feel better soon. Anywaaaays, do you play this weekend?"
JaDani plays four sports but the ones he is really concerned with are baseball and basketball, he plays soccer and football as well.
"No, I don't think so, why?"
"Well, I do and I would love it if you came," I ask with what I think is a cute face.
I play three sports softball, soccer and basketball, but mainly softball.
"I'll ask," he says.
"Okay, I love you, you know."
"I love you too, I got to go to class, I'll see you in a little bit."
"Bye bye, love," I say and give him a hug and we go our separate ways.
First hour here I come. I would say out of all the hours first is probably the one that I don't completely hate, it's science class. Which I don't necessarily like science, but this year I actually don't have a bad teacher.
I am a straight A student for the most part atleast. Don't get all caught up in my grades though, I get in trouble just about everyday, I think it's cause I just have ignorant teachers. Either that or I just don't like them.
All the principals I've ever had are always telling my parents, "She's a brilliant child, it's just her attitude" ehem don't you think they know I'm brilliant, they don't need a little rude ass principal to tell them.
All these teachers are fake too, except maybe a few, that's probably why I don't like the other ones. Some of them want to act like they're my friend and that they are there to help me, but as soon as I correct them it's about to go down. They hate that too, to be corrected and I can see where they're coming from considering I hate to be corrected, but it's like if you said it right the first time I wouldn't have to correct you. Did you even go to college?
I made this one teacher cry once. She was arguing with me about my culture! Seriously, this white old lady wants to tell me what my culture eats? Yeah, right. So I ended up telling her that if she can't handle children maybe she shouldn't be a teacher. Ooh did I get in trouble for that one. But it's all good.
I actually like being in ISS, In School Suspension. It's like I still get to "learn" but I get to be in peice without having to see the ignorant teachers. Wonderful.
"Oh my goodness!" I nearly shout, I looked up to the clock and the bells about to ring. I hurry to get all my stuff up in time. I'm always in a rush I swear, and usually for nothing. I am always one of the first to leave class because I have places to be and people to see.
Rushing down the hallway I see JaDani.
"Boo!" I come up to him.
We give each other a hug.
"Hey, I made this for you," I hand him a piece of notebook paper with his name on it decorated, "Do you like it?"
"Yes, I love it."
"Really?" I jump with excitement.
"Yes, Peso, I love you."
"Awh yeah, I love you too."
We hear the warning bell and rush to class.
The rest of the day really goes by quickly with nothing interesting at all and the bus ride was the same as usual, so yeah.
"Does mom work today?" I ask my dad when I come in.
"Did you see her car?" He replies.
"No?"
"Then yes she does."
"Okay, well you don't have to be rude," I comment, "I was just asking a question."
"An idiotic question," he says.
"Whatever," I say as I walk to my room.
