When Michelle asks Brian if they should attend the party, he just kind of frowns whilst he looks up at her in confusion. It's not like they have a choice to say no.. which is weird. They're forced to go or otherwise there will be 'consequences?' What the hell is that supposed to mean?.. Even tho there are teachers present, some kids will probably just sneak in alcohol anyways and become really annoying, because that's what teenagers at this age do. They break the rules, simple as that. And will those chaperones actually stop them? I mean.. they might try, but it probably won't even work. Maybe Michelle is right, maybe this party will be fun.. but- what if something bad happens?

"Uhm, well I guess if we dont really have a choice.. we'll go. Our teachers shouldn't even be worrying about our social lives.. we're fine like this! Whatever.. I guess you're right, I just hope it'll be good and James won't be there. I have never liked him, and especially not after he tried to manipulate you into things.. you know what i'm talking about. Look, i'm gonna call my parents and say that I will be home later than expected, i'll be right back okay Mich?"

Michelle nods. She just decides to ignore the part about James.. she hates him so much after the things he did. Let me explain. He is this douchebag that thinks the entire world is centered around him, he also has been bothering Michelle and Brian at school since they in 7th grade! Especially Michelle, James has always had this thing for her.. some weird obsession. And not the fun kind, he gets aggressive when he doesn't get what his own greedy ass wants.. and the guy only wants one thing. Y'know Michelle offered him to tutor him with his math homework one day.. and then he- well i'll get back to that. Brian picks up his guitar that is still resting on their laps and lays it down on the spot next to him. He gets off of the bed and walks over to the corner of her room, she literally has her own rotary telephone standing there on a small drawer, normal households only have one that the whole family has to share.. anyhow, he starts to dial his houses number and waits for one of his parents pick up.

"Hello, May family speaking, who is this?"

"Mom! Hi, uhm.. about an hour and a half ago I left to go to Michelle's house.. just to hang out and stuff, i'm with her right now, and we have to go to this party at our school tonight. The principal wrote Michelle a letter saying we have to socialize with more people plus we need more friends and that if we don't go to this party there will be consequences.. I seriously think it's bullshit! O-Oh sorry I cursed mom.. I didn't mean to. Anyways, we're going, so i'll be home late."

"Okay then, thanks for telling me. I get why it is frustrating.. but i'm proud of you for going. You don't necessarily have to go home dear, maybe you can spend the night at Michelle's house so your dad and I also have some alone time to spend together."

Brian can hear his mother giggling a bit on the other side of the phone, he starts to blush out of embarrassment.. maybe he took it the wrong way? But if he was right, hearing that coming from his mom is just.. wrong.

"Oh my gosh ma! I didn't want to know that! Ugh.. gross! But uhm yeah i'll ask.."

"Good, also your father told me you only ate a sandwich for dinner, make sure to eat some more at Michelle's place okay? I don't want you feeling hungry all night, especially when you're going to a party where a bit of alcohol might get involved, because drinking with an empty stomach can get you sick honey."

"Okaaay mom, me and Michelle weren't planning on drinking anyways, so we'll be fine.. i'll eat some more here don't worry. I have to hang up now tho if we wanna arrive a bit early at the party! I love you mom, have a good time with dad!"

Brian hangs up the phone and walks back to the bed which Michelle is still sitting on, he then takes a seat next to her again.

"Looks like everything is settled, now we just have to get ready and i'll make some soup or something, deal?"
