"Wake up Alex!" A little girl said with her high pitched voice.
"I'm up." Alex gets up, and pushes her sister away.
"Ow! Freak you!" She runs away.
Alex yawns, and gets up, looking at herself in the mirror. Her hair was unstyled, as she rejected the offer for getting braids. She didn't want to waste money. She would get upset at the pimple on her chin but she's used to it by now. She moves on and gets ready for another day of school. At the breakfast table, her mother and sister were already there.
"Camila, espera a tu hermana."
"Fine." She pulled away her hand from her fork.2 minutes later, Alex comes down, dressed and ready. Her coiled hair was lazily and hastily put into a ponytail, which she puts gel on, as usual. She put her favorite zip up hoodie on and some pair of jeans.
"What do we got here?" Alex asked, pulling out a seat to eat.
"A breakfast that you better hurry up and eat or else you'll be late." Her mother answered.
Camila let them continue while grabbing one of the pancakes that their mother has made. After a loud and entertaining breakfast, Alex finished eating. She kisses her mother goodbye, and gives a fist bump to her sister. "Bye, little roach."
She heads out the door to school. She's been going to this school ever since 6th grade, and now she's in freshman year. Although every other kid was out partying and hanging out, she never got the chance to do that. She's always been concentrating on her grades, and because of that she only has 1 friend. She hangs out with her and more people that she doesn't know, since they hang out with her friend.
Hearing the loud kids, she knew she was at school. It was a short walk, she lived close enough. Walking through the full halls, she feels everyone staring at her. Everyone has their own clique. She tries to keep her head low.
"I would hate to be alone."
"I can't imagine being a loser like that."
"That's just sad."Alex ignores it. Or- at least tries to. She hears her friend in the distance and looks behind her. Everyone that she heard talking about her was actually minding their own business, scrolling through their phone showing videos. It's come to the point where Alex thinks everyone is judging her.
She continues walking and greets her friend, "Hi."
The eccentric girl turns around and looks at Alex. "Oh! Hi! Oh uh- as I was saying." She turns back around and continued talking to the other people that were there. One of those people being Jaden- someone Alex has found cute."Jaden, you do also like Ale-"Willow tries to ask but gets her mouth covered by him. "Shush!" He looks at Alex, blushing. She could die right there with the way he was looking at her.
He's now walking up to her, smiling with the same smile Alex has adored. "Hi Jad-"
"Hi Alejandro!" The boy says, shyly, to another popular guy in her grade.
Alex's eyes are wide, and she turns to Willow, who is smiling. "He likes Alejandro?! I thought he got bullied by him!" Willow giggles, and hugs Alex. "Yeah- but- turns out it was because..."
(long explanation)
"Oh, that makes sense now." Alex says, disappointed. "So he's..."
"Bi."
"Ahh... gotcha. I don't really understand that fully but like- obviously I support it. Just not apart of it."
Willow looks at her weirdly. "Thanks? Sorry- just that you can just say you're an ally."
"Oh- yeah- I'm an ally." She smiles nervously. In most of her classes, she sits alone, and even when she sits with her friend she only rarely talks to Alex.
Alex thinks that, she's not really a fake friend. Willow and her used to be super close but ever since they got into 7th grade she just became different. She got popular after she blew up on YouTube. Everyone became her friend and she doesn't have any time for Alex. Although she does care for Alex, she cares for everyone else too. It's not like they grew up together, and Alex was always there for Willow when her parents got divorced in 6th grade. Ugh.
