Jodii's P.O.V
We made it, I can't believe we made it without getting caught.
"HEY GUUYS!!" I waved at Cartine and the others smiling like an idiot, they turned round to see me and Madie running towards them, their eyes widening at the sight.
"OMG you escaped this time, I'm so happy you guys are able to hang with us today" Hannah screamed running towards us and hugging us, happy tears coming from her eyes.
"I'm so glad you two could make it" Kalina said calmly walking up to us and joining in the group hug, the other two also joined in, people were staring and shouting get a room while they walked past but none of us care, if they knew what happened in our lives then they wouldn't be saying anything.
We're just chilling with our friends when through the door of the shop we were in came our dad. Our friends gave us looks but they didn't know why he was here we ran behind the counter at the shop ,and waited. We heard a door slam and looked over the counter to see Kalina holding her cheek."OMG! Did he hit you?"I questioned. Kalina just nodded, tears in her eyes, this time I wasn't scared I was angry, pissed off and Madie could tell, she felt my anger boiling in my blood.
"Jodii don't that's too rash do you realise what he might do to us if you go through with this?" She whispered to me, but I didn't care that bastard can do what he likes to me but he lays a hand on my friends and he's going down.
"I don't fucking care, YOU!! stay here" I never wanted Madie to get involved in this so I told her to stay with the girls, with that I stormed out of the shop anger taking complete control of me searching for that bastard of a father, 5 minutes after searching I found him, he looked drunk as usual, I just rolled my eyes as I stood there, he noticed me and started walking toward me with this nasty smirk across his face, this just angered me even more how dare he look so smug, not even a hint of regret in his face, soon after staggering towards me he lifted his arm up to hit me.
"THIS is for running away" his arm started for my face, but luckily my fist got to his gut before he could even touch me, that's when I heard a gasp from behind me, I swiftly turned around to see Madie standing behind a tree hands covering her mouth.
"I thought I told you to stay with the girls?" I said walking towards her, by now my anger had mostly left as I saw my dad on the floor unable to move from the contact.
"I couldn't just leave you alone with him, how could you think I would do that?" she said back to me hugging me tightly. I hugged her back as tight as I could, right now I was scared, scared for what was going to happen to us now.
"What are we going to do now." I said while shivering in her arms.
"I guess we'll have to go home pack our stuff up and leave." she pulled away from the hug and moved some of my hair out of my face smiling at me, Madie was always the more gentle and kind one of us, she could keep her emotions in better than I could too, that's what makes us a great team, she could always keep me in check.
Madie's P.O.V
I don't know what I would've done if Jodii got hurt. I mean she really is the only thing I have and if she got seriously injured I would've cried. I think maybe Jodii should teach me self-defence, but she probably won't, she doesn't like when I fight, but I don't like it when she does, she'll never know because her fighting is sometimes the way we survive, and her having to take 2 jobs doesn't help. She's had the jobs since we were 17 because dad doesn't support us. I don't get it he used to treat us like princess and now he treats us like dust I don't get it.
