The Oceans call was sorrow

for it knew that soon I’d leave

as heavy mists cooled the ardor

of our weekend long reprieve

Once more the realities of Life

stared us squarely in the face

our lifelong affair would again

be tested by time and space

Side stepping chilly waves

rushing up to kiss my knees

then trailing back into the depths

whispering softly… “enter please”

With each breath that I inhale

the volumes of negative ions of health

invigorate my very blood with life

from beyond the origins of Time itself

Each cool wave leaches tensions

and tendencies of stress filled woes

to sweep away all draining worries

into the silky sands below.
