Finally, on the edge of despair, Bluebell discovered a barely visible hairline fracture in the Spire's facade. It was almost imperceptible, a minuscule flaw in its perfect surface—her glimmer of hope.
With renewed vigor, she explored the crack, tracing its path with trembling fingers. Like a puzzle piece, the fracture seemed to fit perfectly with a small, intricate key she had acquired on her journey. Could it be that simple? Bluebell's heart raced with anticipation, yet her mind whispered doubt. She put the key in, and it worked, the spire opened.
Chapter 1
The spire opened revealing Chloe hooked to a rig of nasty, black, and slimy tendrils hooked to her brain. Playing nothing but memories of her and Jace. "Tendrils destroy." Her vocal cords would utter as the tendrils break, releasing Chloe.
Chloe would get up. In an almost primal and slow way. As if she was being possessed. "Put... me... back... NOW!" She'd yell at Blue before lunging at her with her knee to her throat. Blue's paper would read "mom I can't breathe, please stop." "No! You useless daughter, I hate you! Put me back you fucking mistake!" She'd yell again. "Knock out." Blue would utter as Chloe fell asleep.
Blue would carry her on her shoulders. "Why is she like this?" Blue would think to herself. "Does she not have time for her damn kids?". She'd have her mind in pure fog as she walked down the forest and back home. Blue would throw Chloe's body on the table.
"What's wrong?" Xavier would ask. Standing at the edge of the house towards the door. He'd have his guard up, knowing Chloe was gonna snap.
