[REQUESTED] Reader has a little sister in highschool who is getting into trouble so she goes to Tom for help

You sighed as you pulled up in front of the local high school that you unfortunately knew all too well. It was a place that had been four years of hell for you. Four years that couldn't seem to pass by any slower. Four years that you spent just repeating the "Let's get through this week" mantra over and over up until the very last days. And now you had a younger sister that was going through the very same thing.

However, the difference between you and your sister was that you had mostly kept to yourself when you went there. Sure, you may have had some friends, and maybe even gone to some events or parties here and there. But you had never had been that kid who was constantly partying and hanging out with the "bad crowd". The one that tried so desperately to fit in. Your sister on the other hand, she was that kid.

As you put the car in park, you turned to her, as she sat in the passenger's side.

"Katie..." You said slowly to your sister, hoping not to make her mood even worse than it already was this morning. You may have made a comment about the excess of makeup and short skirt she was wearing and now she wasn't talking to you.

"Look, I just wanna say something. I know how it feels to be at this stage, it's really confusing. There's a lot going on in your head, and especially being a girl, it's not exactly-"

"You sound like one of those PSAs that come on at the end of Full House or something," Katie interrupts your little speech with a deadpan voice.

You sigh again. "What I'm trying to say is I've been through high school and it sucks. There's no other way to say it. But you'll get through it much easier if you just be yourself. Forget about what others are doing, they won't matter in a few years anyway. Okay?"

You try to sound as understanding and neutral as possible. Katie nods a little and that makes you feel like you might be getting through to her.

"Yeah, okay," she says.

You sigh.

"Thank you. Now, go on, I won't keep you."

She gets out of the car and you watch as she disappears behind the gates of the campus. You finally drive away, heading back home with Katie on your mind the entire drive.

When you get home, you slump on the couch and turn on the TV, hoping to distract yourself from the situation with your sister. As much as she got on your nerves, you didn't want anything to happen to her. It's just the nature of the eldest sibling. Unfortunately, you didn't really have anyone you could talk to about this. You and your sister had moved away from your parents, as you felt the situation with their divorce wasn't good for Katie. And you didn't want to ruin Katie's reputation by going to any of your friends, because small towns talk. But you knew you had to talk to somebody. Because you knew Katie wasn't telling you everything about her friends. She was definitely hiding what was really going on.

You sighed again as you thought about what must be done. You had considered this several times, but were too nervous, and perhaps a small part of you had thought she would realize what was right. But damn, was she taking too long. And you couldn't afford to let it get to a point where she could become involved in the behaviors of her friends.

"I've just gotta do it..." You muttered to yourself, clicking off the TV and walking over to the kitchen wall. Hesitantly, you picked up the phone and dialed 9-1-1.
