- Has he contacted any of you? - Myung-Hee rushed into the apartment only to see her boyfriend sitting on the couch with Hye-Jeong standing in front of him. The atmosphere in the apartment suddenly became heavy - What were you talking about?

She only frowned as she watched them look at each other, apparently having a non-verbal conversation. She coughed to remind them of her presence in the room.

- Nothing - Jae-Jun said quickly and gave his friend one last glance before turning to face Myung-Hee - Myeong-Oh? Of course he didn't. I'll fucking kill him.

He was angry, if not furious. Not only because his employee was completely ignoring his duties for the first time in years, but because he also turned out to be a thief.

Jae-Jun knew that Myeong-Oh was different than he was, but he never thought that he would be capable of stealing his clothes. Not to mention his expensive watches.

He just wondered what pawnshop he had left them in.

- Yeon-Jin isn't answering either - Hye-Jeong said with a fake innocent face - Maybe they're just busy fucking with each other.

- Don't even say that - Jae-Jun stood up causing the woman to step back.

- He's right, Hye-Jeong. We all know Yeon-Jin, she would never cheat on Ha Do-Yeong. She cares for him and Ye-Sol too much - she turned to put her bag on the table.

Maybe if she didn't, she would've noticed the way her boyfriend's eyes sparkled up when she said Ye-sol's name.

- I'm leaving - she rolled her eyes - I have a flight tomorrow. I hope to see you later Myung-Hee.

Hye-Jeong smiled at her, and walked her way to the door.

- Please, see her out, Jae-Jun - she walked to him and kissed him on the lips - I have to go to the bathroom.

- Do I have to?

- Do I look like I'm joking? - Myung-Hee said before walking away.

It was one of the thighs she hated about her boyfriend. Sometimes he would be just a little kid who decided to be mean to everyone he knew. She always thought that was just his way of dealing with emotions - his friend, or as he preferred his worker disappeared, and as if that wasn't enough he stole his clothes and watches. For Myung-Hee, there was no way that he wasn't worried about all of this.

Behavior like that wasn't normal, even if it was Myeong-Oh. She knew him. They all did. He would never keep silent if he decided to run away from them. Sooner or later, he would call any of them to tell them that he's living his best life somewhere else. Yet, when he called them last time he said nothing like that.

Jae-Jun watched as she disappeared behind the door before he came to Hye-Jeong. He had a few questions his girlfriend couldn't find out about. Not now.

- That kid. Yeon-jin's daughter - he walked up to her slowly - Ye-Sol.

- What about her? - Hye-Jeong put on her shoes and looked at him with curiosity.

He never cared about Yeon-Jin's family. He actually never cared about anything else other than himself and Myung-Hee. That was his little perfect word. So why did he suddenly ask about his friend's daughter he never had the smallest interest in?

- Aren't those Yeon-Jin's hills? - he changed the subject and raised one eyebrow at her.

He knew that Hye-Jeong didn't have as much money as he and his friends did. Neither did Myeong-Oh, the difference was that he wasn't pretending to be rich. And if Yeon-Jin wore something, that must have been expensive. Seeing the exact same boots she wore on Hye-Jeong caused him to think if she hadn't stolen them from her.

- I bought them when I had a flight to London. I didn't know Yeon-Jin had them too - she said annoyed - What about Ye-Sol?

- Do you know when her birthday is?

- Ye-Sol's birthday? - she asked, surprised.

- Do you know it or not? - he looked towards the door to the bathroom. Myung-Hee could have walked out of there at any minute. He didn't have time for such stupid questions.

- I don't know her birthday, but i remember Yeon-Jin's mom setting a date when she got pregnant telling her to give birth before Chuseok, so that it brings the baby wealth - she explained - Why do you want to know?

He didn't answer at first. He only snorted quietly and smiled under his breath.

- I'm wondering if she's my daughter.

- You must be mad! - she looked at him with wide eyes, but he didn't seem to be joking - Does Myung-Hee know about this?

Ye-Sol was eight.

Park Yeon-Jin and Ha Do-Yeong were married for ten years.

For her, the question was if this was just a one night stand or a longer relationship? And what's more - did her friends' partners know who they were living with?

- Are you fucking crazy? - he asked with a serious face - Or are you just that dumb?

Hye-Jeong smiled at him. Deep inside she knew all the answers for the questions she had. But she really hoped that maybe this time things would be different.

Maybe her so-called friends were right. Maybe she was a fool.

- No, sometimes I just forget that the worst thing about Myung-Hee's life is you, Jae-Jun.

- Get the fuck out of here - he clenched his teeth - Unless you want to get married in the afterlife.

She only snorted.
