The lost knight

A New Beginning

The young knight kneels on the blood colour dirt at his feet. He stays there in disbelief looking into the eyes of a soldier. Sorrow struck his heart deep and pierced him deeper than any blade could have ever done to him. This sorrow was the kind that would either kill a man or give him a sense of revenge. It did neither. He had lost all hope, he was set out from the rest but he has to find a way to carry on. War was waging on around him as more allies died to the enemy. A soldier started running at him at full sprint. The knight could tell that he was inexperienced with man to man combat due to his way of holding the sword. It seemed as though it was too heavy for him to handle due to the weight because he was running at him with two hands on the hilt. This left his side open when he would try and strike. And based on his speed he was eager to strike quick. The opponent swung at him from the right but swung from a distance that gave him the chance to move out of the way of the attack and with a powerful strike he hits his opponent in the side with a devastating blow sending him to the floor. With this newly found rage he steps on the enemies back and shouts
" remember this name for it will be the last name you shall hear. Remember the name Felix yeager"
He pressed his long sword the enemies helmet and skull with ease coating the ground with a new layer of blood upon the many before it. A slight bit of remorse sat in the back of his mind for killing someone so inexperienced yet he knew if he didn't then the enemy would have done the same.

Felix Yeager , The 27 year old experienced fighter in the crusader squadron of the royal army joined the army at the age of 19 and has been climbing the ranks for 8 years now however even though he is such a high rank, due to him being the last of the Yeager family he is looked down upon as the name never had a good public opinion. His job in the squadron is to be a foot soldier. Felix is commonly seen with his long sword in battle and uses a parry fighter technique when faces opponents which makes him unmatchable. His lean yet muscular build allows him to move quick yet land powerful hits. He has dark brown hair with blue eyes. He is a good looking guy and a very skilled warrior yet gets no respect nor reward for doing the valiant things he does. He has lost so much yet does not know what to do with himself anymore but has to hide this emotion and not let it affect him fighting.

When Felix arrives back home, he returns to his squadrons base alone. All of his comrades dead in the rage of battle. He was summoned by the king to discuss his new team that had just been moving up from training. As he walks into the court like room he sees the king sit before him on his throne that is raised up higher than the rest of the room to allow him to look down on all of his subjects. The king goes on to exclaim that he shall not be rewarded for his efforts in the war due to his lack of being able to keep his squadron alive. This had been placed upon him even though this was not his job as he was not the commander of the crusade. The king elaborates on how he is not enough and should be disappointed in his efforts towards the war however Felix new he was the one who did a lot of the work. When he tried to fight back his point to the king the Head Knight walked in and stepped aside him, wearing his white and rose gold armour. The Head knight knew he was the best which influenced him to add to the kings point and ensure that Felix knew that Leofric the great Head of knights was better than him in every aspect imaginable. His name Leofric means noble and wealthy which is why he is so well looked upon by the king as he is fit to rule. As he was about to get dismissed the king told him about the reason why he was summoned. He were to get a new crusade that he would command over. This crusade would consist of Edrea Ayers, Winfred Easome and Cenric Claytone.
