CHAPTER 5

Third Person POV

On a sunny sunday afternoon the kang family set off on a special mission. They were headed to Korea international math competition where the eldest among kang sisters sakura will participate. The eldest daugther first went to the venue, she is fetch by a van with other players.
But not too long after when her parents and younger sisters made their way there.

As they arrived at the venue, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement. Eunbi and hyewon accompanied with their other children found seats in the back row of the competition hall. They eagerly waited for the competition to begin, their hearts filled with hope and support for sakura.

After a while the lights turn on making the 4 contestants stand out. The host came in the center and start giving the introduction about the event, there's 3 math professors infront and they will be the one giving questions.

Everyone start to cheer when the host declared that the most anticipated math competition will now begin. The fastest one to answer each questions will be the winner, there's only 2 rounds. In the first round the two who answer more questions will be in the final round and sadly the other 2 players will lost. They have given 5 seconds to answer it, if they can't the question will repeat again and whoever answer it will take the score. There's a button infront of the contestants and it will be the game basis whoever tap it first.

"Our first question, solve for the value of x: 3x + 4 ( x - 2 ) = 25." The host speak and in just a snap contestant number two named yves tap her button.

"The value of x is 3" She answered confidently which is correct. Everyone clap at her while she earn 10 points.

"Very good! Next question is seem to be easy for the four of you. What is the square root of 169?"

Contestant number three named soobin tap her button.

"13" He answered and it is correct. Everyone give her an applause and he also earn ten points. Him and yves are currently leading while the other two still not getting points. Well sakura is nervous that's why she can't think passed and you know what's amusing? Her opponent player contestant number one notice it that's why he is also not answering so she won't go in the last place.

"Don't be nervous, just think that no one is here but you. Solve the problem like how you trained in your room" The man whisper to her since they are just beside to each other. Well there's a space between, in the left side contestant number 2 and 3 are beside to each other and same with sakura and contestant number 4. Sakura came back to the reality and she nodded softly whispering him a thank you.

"Heres the next question, its a challenging probability. If you roll two dice, what is the probability of getting a sum of 7?" The host asked and finally contestant number 4 named yuto tap his button.

"Its 6/36 but simplified to 1/6" Hyewon heared wonyoung said that made her startled, she's not suprised since she's a young genius and also sakura love teaching her mathematics but she is suprised that her daugther can answer that fast. She just shake her head and giggled giving her attention back in the competition.

"The probability is 6/36 which simplifies to 1/6" Yuto answered and its correct. Everyone clap at him while he earn 10 points.

"Excellent! Now problems start to get hard, it seems like our professors want to test you all huh. It is a advanced calculus problem. ∫(2x^3 + 5x^2 - 3x) dx" He asked and everyone went silent, the audiences are obviously shocked because that is a hard question knowing that these contestants are only 17 - 14 year old, they are not even in college yet. But after few seconds kang sakura tap her button.

"The answer would be ( ½ )x^4 + (5/3)x^3 - (3/2)x^2 + C" She answered and it turn out to be correct. Everyone gave her a very loud clap and compliments from the audiences that even her opponent look at her in amazement. Sakura finally earn her 10 points.
