A short, chubby boy holding a plantpot stared on as the three boys ran into the conservatory of Longbottom Manor, screaming and panting. He shook his head as he turned and re-entered the greenhouse he had just left. A slight portly redheaded man stood up and knelt in front of them. "Ron? What's wrong? What happened?" He asked in a soothing voice trying to calm his son down. "I-It's Potter! He's a d-dark wizard, like the Prophet said!" He stammered as the other two boys nodded quickly in fearful agreement. "A dark wizard?" Boomed Charlus, "Toby, bring Harry here at once for a full explanation!" A few moments later, Harry appeared in the centre of the conservatory with a tired sigh and a bored expression adorning his face.

"Alright, Harry. Tell me what happened and I want no missed details." Charlus led Harry to one of the red armchairs before sitting across the small mahogany coffee table from him. As Harry explained the events from Ron insulting him to one of the blonde boys insulting the blonde girl, the adults in the room became more and more irate with the 3 boys near the door. After Harry finished speaking Charlus stood and led Harry into the drawing room. He sat Harry down and knelt in front of him, hand on his shoulder. "Harry, listen. Just because someone insults you, you can't just use your magic to make them stop-"

"I didn't do it because they insulted me. I couldn't give a damn what they say about me- it doesn't matter anyways. But once they started insulting Ms Bones for her parents' death is where I drew the line." Harry unyielding stared into his grandfather's eyes. "While that is an admirable reason, Harry, there are repercussions for this in the real world. You need to learn to control your emotions. Come, we will return home and start training you in occlumency tomorrow to learn to control yourself. Maybe you will be good enough to return to Longbottom Manor next week and actually stay calm."

Charlus stood and pulled Harry with him to the conservatory where everyone had gathered, "I'm going to take Harry home now, thank you for having us here today, Lady Longbottom." He and Harry bowed and turned to the fireplace, taking the floo network back to Potter Manor.

They landed in the drawing room of Potter Manor, Charlus walked into the room and, with a wave of his wand, summoned a teaset from a cabinet at the other end of the room. Harry slowly rose from the floor, coughing and spluttering from the soot of the fireplace. He dusted his clothes and sat at the coffee table, waiting for his grandfather. After he poured them both some tea, he began to speak.

"Occlumency is a hard ability to learn, even harder to master. It takes hours of discipline and intense focus to build strong enough shields to repel legillimency attacks. Once you have learnt occlumency, you will be able to repress your emotions, remember things better, find it easier to learn and concentrate on learning and the main objective: repel others from reading your mind. Tomorrow, we will start on the basics of occlumency, the theory behind mental shields and the dangers of not employing them. For now, you may do as you please until dinner, after you've ate we will have some guests attending so make sure your clothes are presentable." As he finished, he waved his wand and the soot disappeared from Harry's clothes. "I will come collect you five minutes before our guests are due to arrive." Harry nodded and left the drawing room for his bedroom.

Potter Manor, 10/08/1986, 18:28

The fireplace in the drawing room flared a deep green as Charlus stood straight near the sofa with Harry at his side. A man with long, curly black hair stepped out of the fireplace with anything but elegance. The newcomer turned as the fireplace flared green once more and a beautiful woman with long auburn hair tied in a fishtail braid, her arm around a young boy with the facial features of his father but the violet eyes and auburn hair of his mother.

"Heir Black, how are you?" Charlus said reaching a hand out which the dark haired man shook. "Same as always Lord Potter, but please- drop the formalities, we are family in all but blood after all. And hello pup, haven't seen you since you weren't even able to walk." The dark haired man laughed audibly as he ruffled Harry's hair before he turned to his company. "I should introduce you. This beautiful woman here is my wife, Marlene Black and alongside her is my son, Canis Regulus Black." He took a step so that he was on his son's right side, facing the Potters.

"Ah so even you managed to convince someone to tie you down, Padfoot." A voice said as the fire flared green once more. A man with brown hair and dishevelled robes stepping into the drawing room, the light making his facial scars visible. "Moony! How have you been, old friend. Have you been getting my supply of wolfsbane?" Sirius grabbed the new arrival into a strong bear hug as he asked his questions. "Yes, yes hello Padfoot. Ah, Harry my boy, how are you?" Harry smiled up at Sirius and Remus before hugging them both. "I got lumped in some pureblood class at Longbottom Manor then got kicked out for defending myself." Harry said, shooting a brief scowl at Charlus who just chuckled in response. "Come, don't let us keep you standing here at the fireplace. Make yourselves comfortable I will inform the house elves to bring us some tea." Charlus said as the group made their way further into the drawing room.

A/N: Shorter one this chapter, I wonder if anyone can guess who the other unnamed children were at Longbottom Manor from the previous chapter?

Anyways, chapter was shorter but I'm just trying to introduce the cast of the story. Jesus this is gonna be a long ass story.

I'll try to keep the Hogwarts chapters to a minimum but I will make action chapters longer.

As always any reviews and critiques are much appreciated and I hope you enjoyed :)
