Fanviva V-86 woke up like every day for many years, alone, cold, chained and in the dark. As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he saw the bars that had held him for so long. His mask was just out of reach, behind the bars. How long has he been here, how long would he still be here, he's been asking himself these questions for so long that they've become meaningless. The only thing he was sure of was that he was still alive, even if he was actually just surviving and not really alive. The chains on his wrists prevent him from using his powers and he can't even remember when he last ate or drank. Even if he wanted to, he can't die. If only he could get his mask, he could just get out of here. No one knew he was here except the one who locked him in here. Scared Mask, his role model, leader and only father figure since his real father passed away. He was betrayed by the only one he trusted and now he would suffer forever. He was about to cry when he heard a noise like gears rattling. He looked in the direction the sound was coming from and saw some kind of elevator coming down. A slender figure stepped out and flipped a switch, and the room was instantly bright with light. V-86 had to close his eyes so he wouldn't go blind. When he opened his eyes again he saw that the figure was P-78, who said, "Hey, Sleeping Beauty, get up." "What do you want from me?" V-86 croaked, thanks to his dry throat. Fanviva P-78 started laughing, not an evil villain's laugh but more of a real laugh because he finds something funny. Then P-78 gave him a liter of water and a cake. V-86 wolfed it all down as quickly as possible and felt a lot better than before. "How are you?" P-78 asked. V-86 immediately replied, "Like every day since you locked me here, shit." P-78 put on a sad expression, though he didn't mean it, and said, "You poor guy, you know I could set you free. All you have to do is shake my hand." "Forget it, I'd rather be free but in jail than locked up in the open," V-86 said. P-78 put on a questionable expression and asked, "What? What do you think?" "Don't be silly, I know about your mark. I pass," Fanviva V-86 replied. P-78 was outraged and now shouted: "You don't know anything, nothing." "If I'm marked, I can't rebel against you, otherwise every single one of my cells will implode and my soul will be transported into your right eyeball. Not even a fountain of youth could put me back together afterwards", V-86 said relaxed, "Did I miss something?" P-78 looked very angry now. "No, that's all," he ground out. They stared at each other for several minutes, and then a diabolical laugh erupted from P-78. He said: "I don't care, as soon as my plan works I won't need you anymore. Dead Mask, don't you think you can taste the irony?" "Whatever you plan, you won't get away with it. There will always be someone fighting for the right cause. You will lose," V-86 replied . Fanviva P-78 smiled then he said: "You know, I'll be nice and leave you the light, which you loved so much, for your last weeks." Then he turned around and took the elevator back up. V-86 Realizing that P-78 had left the cake plate behind, he finally had a chance. One throw could now decide the fate of the Ultraverse. He threw the plate at the mask and hit, the mask fell off the hook onto the ground. He stretched his Hand out for the mask but couldn't reach it. It was so close, maybe if he gets a little thinner he can reach his mask. Now he finally had a goal in this desolate grotto. He was going to be a hero, he had to just starve more than he already was, starting off by shoving his finger down his throat as deep as he could.
