*Bia's POV*

I just moved to Atlanta and I hate it more than I anticipated it. I really didn't want to move away from home.... Home as in HOUSTON MOTHAFUCKIN TEXAS!!! YESSSIRRR!! H-Town reppin'! I really rep my city like its a gang or some shit. I just want to finish these last two years of school and move back home so I can start my life there. I made it to my first class. I took a deep breath before stepping into the doorway of the classroom.

???: Class we have a new student.... (grabs paper from me) Would you like to introduce yourself?

Me: (shrugs and clears throat) I'm Bia... the new student.

Everyone started mumbling and I mentally roll my eyes. Why did I have to start all over towards the end of my high school experience? I miss my best friend Tiana already....

???: (pats my back) Please, make yourself at home. Find somewhere to sit. Anywhere is fine.

I squinted my eyes looking around the classroom. I know finding my spot in classes will start my journey with whoever is around me. Jocks, popular girls, nerds, outcasts... I didn't want nothing to do with any of those groups... I really just wanna be to myself. I was just walking down the aisle looking for my seat until this one girl caught my attention. She seems just like me; unbothered. I'm sure she won't bother me. So, I take my seat next to her. Her eyes must be broken though cause she couldn't help looking at me. I just shake her of and the teacher starts handing out the work for today. I quickly get to work, but I couldn't help the feeling of someone watching me. Did I fuck up and pick the wrong spot? She looked zoned out but I need to address this.

Me: (clears throat) Is there a reason why you're staring at me?

She snapped out of whatever she was in... you could tell she was nervous.

???: (tries to fix herself up) My bad. (smiles)

I just roll my eyes and get back to my work. I don't have time for this. Bia... you wanna do your work, keep your head down, and get the FUCK outta here! I can't wait to tell my mom about my first day of school in Atlanta. I was erasing my paper when my pencil flew out my hand. I sighed and looked around for it. Of course it rolled over by the weirdo. She picked up my pencil in slow motion and just looked at it.

Me: (furrows brows) Can I have my pencil back? (sticks out hand)

She looked at my hand and it took her a second to respond back to me.

???: Uh yeah.... Here. (hands me my pencil back)

Me: (raises a brow) Are you always weird?

???: (smiles) A little.

Oh lord.... I don't think she's weird... I think she belongs in that nice happy jacket. I just slightly smiled at the joke I made to myself in my head and I got back to work. Two years of this... Lord... help me now. The bell rang and everyone hopped up like a bunch of idiots. Why push over people to run out a class just to linger around in the hallway? I look over and see the girl next to me didn't get up either. Looks like she's pretty smart too. Maybe she's not that bad. Nah, she's still special. I just stand up, look at her, and scoff. Now I'm thinking she's just following me. I walk out the classroom and try to find my next class. I peek behind me and see she's being held up by the teacher. Perfect! I finally find my next class and dread these next hours.

*Lunch*

It was FINALLY lunchtime! I love learning I just really dislike people. Everyone keeps eyeballin me because I'm 'the new girl'. I mentally roll my eyes and grab my lunch. I look around the cafeteria and sigh. All the groups have been made out by now... I don't fit into none of them either. I was about to give up on finding a seat until I seen the girl from my first period class. I walk over to her table and just stand there. Maybe I can be nice.
