This chapter will be quite short, just a little warning.

"Y/N!!!!" Hera's voice thunders down the hall.

"Uh oh." I spin around, my eyes flashing a bright blue as I feel Hera's anger fill the air around me, "I didn't do it!"

Hermes sticks his head around a corner, "You definitely did it, kid. Be careful!" He disappeared once more, probably on his way to deliver something to Uncle Hades.

"You can't just leave me-"

"Y/n!" Hera cuts me off, "Why weren't you in the council room? Where you with another mistress? Your father has made quite a bad impression on you." She mutters the last part, trying to prevent Zeus from hearing.

"You can talk all you want Hera!" Fathers voice comes down towards us, "I have my ways!"

"Oh, shut up you oaf!" She shouts back, "I'm trying to talk to our son!"

"Tell Hephaestus I say hello and that his new chair is quite comfortable!" Zeus thunders back.

"Wrong son!" Hera drops her head into her hands, sighing at Zeus words. She brings her head back up and directs her words at me this time. "Why weren't you at the meeting? We need you to pitch in your ideas."

"Mother," My back aches, my wings wanting to expand at the pressure of her feelings overloading my senses, "I'm going to ask you to take a step away from me."

She realizes a moment to late.

With a flare of blue light, my black wings expand farther than my arms reach. Hitting Mother within a second.

Must... Fly... Must.... Watch....

"Talk later!" The words rush out of my mouth as the tugging in my back and stomach becomes tighter.

I spin and jump off of the nearest balcony, feeling the air rush trough my hair and under my wings. I woop as I begin to soar over the mountains of Ancient Greece.

I close my eyes and take in a deep breath, taking in the exhilarating feeling of being free and unbound. Being untethered to this world.

I can't take another breath in before getting suddenly struck down.
