Taylor sighed as he opened his laptop as calmly as he could, he tried to make his fingers steady but they just weren't. His family was one where the people usually had powers by now, he for whatever reason didn't. "Taylor! Dinner!" He heard his brother call, Xerella. He shrugged, Taylor hated his name but he had it he would much rather go by Faded or something. Yet he didn't, he was stuck with his name and he was honestly fine albeit not happy about it. Besides he had a wife and daughter, it would probably be weird for his daughter to have her father's name change.

He sighed as he entered the dinner room and sat at a table by his wife and daughter. His youngest brother sat across from him, Neon. The two didn't speak much but Taylor preferred neon over Xerella and Don, he had never stabbed him and never pretended to be his friend. To Taylor that made Neon ok, he watched as Xerella carefully swayed a bunch of plates to each person, it was the night after Violet's first day at school, so it didn't surprise Taylor that much when Xerella made the feast.

Xerella had defiantly gotten better since when they were kids, no more stabbing people no more of that stuff. Taylor still however felt uneasy in his presence, it always felt like one wrong move and bam. He and his loved ones would be dead, Taylor didn't like to think much about that.

"Hey did you hear something?" Don asked, Taylor studied Don shaking his head, now somewhat worried. He shouldn't of taken his family here, he knew he shouldn't of. Suddenly a wall exploded, Taylor tightened his grip on the knife he was holding. He had been about to cut a chicken leg in half, he supposed he could settle for whoever's leg this was.

That's when the alarm started and Taylor's vision went black. When he could finally see again, the house was in ruins, some random hero was fighting his father, who was using his wife as a shield? What? He felt Don grab him and start dragging him away.
