Friday morning. Ugh. My last day of work before the weekend. My clock rang at 8am and I tossed and turned in bed. The only positive thing was how much I loved my job in the library. I think we all know those days on which we just don't want to go to work. I'd never been an early bird. I got out of bed and got dressed for work. On my way there I got a text by my best friend, Olivia. Also known als Liv or Livi.

Liv: I'm so excited for tonight! Can't wait. I'll be at your house at five.

Ahh yes, "tonight". She made me go to one of these party's with her again to which I didn't wanna go. She had quite good connections since her boyfriends is one of these split up boybands. One Direction. I got to know the boys back then when Niall and Liv got together three years ago. I didn't get to see them very often though, since they were touring a lot and were almost never in London.

Oh, Liv's boyfriend is Niall Horan, in case anybody was wondering. I was quite sure his best friend would be at the party as well. After the band split a few months ago they still stayed in contact, which you couldn't say about the other band members. He was quite nice but we never really talked a lot. Whatever, that morning I tried not to think about the party too much and tried to focus on my work.

Olivia came by at five pm and we got ready together. I slowly started to be nervous and my hands got sweaty.

"Do we really have to go? You know how much I hate partys. I like Niall, but I don't want to see all these wannabes. And you also know I don't like to be around strangers." I complained.

"Yes we have to! Come on don't be such a baby. Niall is finally in town again and you know how rarely I get to see him. It'll be good for you to be around people again. You never leave your apartment when I'm not around. There's other things in life but work. Plus he will probably be there as well", Liv answered with a sad but yet playful expression on her face.

"Ugh, I know. But you're one of my only and also my best friend. I thought after this band thing you'd see each other more frequently. Adding to that, why would I care about him?" I shook my head.

"Well Niall was with his family in Mullingar for a long time and had a few interviews to attend. And c'mon, you can't tell me you're not excited to see him again." I shook my head again.

"Like I said, we barely know each other. I only got to see him once or twice." I tried not to think about her statement anymore.

Liv always wanted to set me up with Niall's best friend for whatever reason. In her opinion I always found him attractive - which he was, don't get me wrong. But what would I do with a celebrity with thousands of young girls or women as fans which adore him, who's always touring and I'd never get to see? Liv might be okay with that but I for sure wouldn't.

I had one boyfriend in the past, if you could even name him that. Back when I was 18, but we'd only been together for a few months and then he found someone better than me. Why would anyone wanna go trough that heartache voluntarily?

"Hey, it's so good to see you again", Niall shouted over the loud music and hugged me.

"You too, I missed you", I said.

I liked Niall. He always stayed down to earth and was so likable. Oh and he treated my best friend like a queen which definitely was a point for him. Back then when the boys were home we used to do stuff together all the time. I kind of missed these times. The two of them made a perfect couple.

We squeezed through the crowd of people and went to a private lounge which Niall got us into. There weren't as many people.

"I'll go get something to drink", I said to Liv. Way to many people in here. I might meet someone I know while I'm here though. Well, that thought was disappointed really quick since I didn't know anyone except Niall and Liv. Great. What was I expecting though? I did not know lots of celebrities. At the bar I ordered a drink and a bottle of champagne for the three of us. With a little alcohol I would get through this evening way better than sober.

"Dear god, do you really have to get drunk to meet him?" Liv laughed at me.

"No but if you keep going I'll drink this bottle alone. Good luck getting me home then." I handed Olivia a glass filled with champagne and she took it thankfully.

"I suppose the two of you still know each other, don't you?" Niall asked and pointed at his best friend, who stood right behind him, leaning against the wall. Did he become even more attractive since the last time I saw him? I tried to shake that thought off, nodded and smiled at him. He didn't look at me but towards the dance floor. His curls fell in his face. Niall waved with his hand in his face which made him notice us. I took a sip of my drink. My hands were sweaty again. My gaze met his green eyes and his smile made me forget where I even was for a second.

"Evie." The way he said my name and smiled gave me goosebumps.

"Hey Harry" was all I could say.
