Warnings:
Violence, A little bad languageI walk the opposite direction to go start my independent training.
I liked training by myself. When training with everyone, it's easy to get distracted. Training by myself gives me a chance to breathe. To think.
I get outside and take off my jacket. I roll up my sleeves and begin to wrap my bare hands to protect them.
I stand in front of the human-shaped punching bag and get into my stance. I start to punch and kick it using more force than i usually would. I am still annoyed about the toast incident.
I imagine the bag was Levi, throwing more punches. What does he mean by watch out. What even is there to watch out for? He's probably just saying that to make me even more nervous about teaching the new team.
"Sort out your posture, your hits are becoming weak"
I could already tell who it was by his husky voice.
"Don't tell me what to do, why are you watching me anyways?" I turn, hands on my hips, raising an eyebrow. I see Levi leaning against the wall, arms crossed.
"Don't be so full of yourself brat" He rolls his eyes. "I came to tell you that Erwin wants to speak to us now, before the newbies start training" He responds.
"Okay" I answer, unwrapping my hands, stretching my cramped fingers. I roll my sleeves back down and pick up my jacket starting to walk while putting it on. Levi following behind me.
We reach Erwin, who is stood on the field holding papers with a couple boxes behind him. Hange and the other new captains were there already.
"Now everyone is here, i have your new groups ready for our first mission this year." Erwin calls out.
He passes each of us our lists of people. I scan through, not recognising anyone. Not that i would know anyone anyways.
"The council has informed me that Eren Jaeger and his friends have to stay in my group for this first mission. These groups will not be permanent. I want to see who works well with who" He carry's on.
I recognise Eren's name. He is that titan boy everyone keeps banging on about.
We all salute to our commander and the rest of the captains leave. Me and Levi have to teach training together now every Monday morning, Erwin insisted since apparently we need to learn to get along. Like that's never going to happen.
"You both will be training sword skills today and i will be watching" Erwin informs us.
All the new corps start to come outside, standing in rows ahead of us.
"Good morning everyone, today Captain Levi and Captain Arabella will be working on you sword skills..." Erwin announces.
Ugh 'captain'. I hate that stupid word.
"...both captains are going to demonstrate by fighting one other." Erwin continues.
My heart suddenly sank hearing his words. Last time me and Levi fought was all those years ago when he made me look awful in front of everyone. When he stole my worth away from me. Humanity's best hope.
