I woke up to a faint vibration under my pillow. I grabbed my phone and looked at it. "Alarm clock, 06:00am".

"Oh great", I muttered to myself. After my family vacation I wasn't ready to get up that early.

Today is my first appointment for the 'Rolling Stone Magazine' and I'm allowed to photograph a famous band for the new cover. Am I tense? Maybe a little bit. But  I am really looking forward to it.

I've been living in London for 3 months now and I've settled in quite well here. It's a big difference from Birmingham to London of course.

Still, it was time for me to do my thing and live my own life. Do I miss my family? Sure. We had a very nice time in Germany, where we visited my mom's family.

My mom is German and met my father at a student exchange maaaany years ago. They kept in touch every day and visited each other once a month and a few weeks later, they fell in love with each other.

After graduating, my mom decided to give up her life in Hamburg and moved in with my father in Birmingham. After 6 months they got married and about 1 year later, my mom and my dad welcomed me into the world. Olivia Charlotte Smith.

I was born on October 30th on an autumnal day. I'm an only child so you can imagine how my parents reacted when I said I was going to move to London. Nevertheless, they were happy when they heard that I got my own apartment in London. It's not too big, but it's cheap. For myself it was more than enough at the moment and a few blocks away there is the famous Hyde Park.. I mean, it really doesn't get any more central than that, does it?

I jumped out of bed, went to the bathroom and got into the shower. 20 minutes later and completely energized, I got out of the shower dried off. After I dried myself off and finished doing my hair, I went back into the bedroom and looked in my closet.

'Hmm.. What should I wear?', I thought. It should be simple and not too girly, so I took out a white blouse, a pair of dark blue pants and black heels. Done. Now the Make-Up...

I'm not the girl who's painting her whole face with foundation and stuff like that. The only thing I use is mascara and lipstick, that's it. Finished. That should be alright, I guess. I stood in front of the mirror and checked myself again. With a satisfied expression on my face, I grabbed my beige jacket and bag and left the apartment.

On my way to work, I pulled out my headphones and turned on my music. I walked the streets of London listening to Duran Duran songs. My god how I love this band! And not just because they're from Birmingham as well, their songs are just amazing! And yes, the boys look pretty hot too.

Especially John. He is more than gorgeous. Those brown eyes, that charming smile, that hair... Just wow.

At that moment, completely lost in my thoughts, I bumped into a slim, tall guy.

"Oh crap, I'm so sor-„ My mouth dropped open as I registered his face.
