Before he could definitively start his journey at the foot of Mount Saguiro, Tanji was in search of something that would allow his sister to accompany him during the day. He remembered the black-haired man's words vividly and knew that something very bad would happen if his sister were exposed to the sun. Thus, as soon as the rays of sun began to emerge from the clouds, Kamado left his little sister in a small dark cave and now sought something to optimize his walking time. Passing by a small rural property, Tanji spotted two residents and some utensils, which gave him an idea.

— Excuse me, sir? Can I take that basket, some straw, and bamboo? — Tanji asks the resident who was working there.

— Alright! Feel free to help yourself! — the countryman replies to the girl, but he adds — But, the basket has a big hole.

— Yes! I'll pay for everything — Tanji quickly asserts.

— No! No need! After all, the basket is all holey! — the man retorts, returning to the hole in the basket.

— No, I'll pay! — Tanji insists.

— No! It's okay! And I'll give you the straw and bamboo too. — The man says kindly, stubbornly going along with Tanji's stubbornness.

— EVEN SO, I'M GOING TO PAY! — Tanji yells at the man as she already takes the coins out of her pocket.

— I ALREADY SAID YOU DON'T NEED TO! YOU STUBBORN GIRL, DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME? HUH? — the man shouts back at Tanji's screams, trying to make her give up the idea.

At that moment, Tanji aggressively grabs the man's hand and then forcefully hands him some of her coins.

— PLEASE, ACCEPT THIS, YES! IT'S JUST A FEW COINS! — Tanji vociferates at the man, who is now pressing his hand in an attempt to stop the pain, and without delay, Tanji sets off to retrieve the purchased items. — THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING, SIR! — Then, Tanji thanked and immediately set off for the cave where her sister was.

...

— Nezuko? Hey, Nezuko? — Tanji calls worriedly — Hey, she's gone?

And after that, Nezuko's head rises from a hole in the ground, and relieved, Tanji says:

— I found you! — After that, Tanji wonders — Nezuko? She dug a hole? My sister turned into a mole! And she looks really grumpy... Looks like she really wants to avoid the sun.

— Just wait a little — Tanji tells her sister as she gets up.

The now standing Kamado headed towards the basket, the straw, and the bamboo. Then, she took the straw and made two handles to facilitate carrying and fixed the relatively large hole in the basket. She knew how to do this because her mother had taught her when she was younger. After that, she grabbed her axe and began to cut the bamboo in half. Then, she made a straw net around the basket with the halves of the bamboo and repeated the same process with the lid, which also had some holes.

— Nezuko!? Can you get in here? — Tanji asked her sister, who was still in her hole — I wish I could continue the journey even during the day. Don't worry, I'll carry you! — She explained, trying to convince Nezuko.
