Priyanka walked over to her brother's room, rushing into the room giving her brother no warning.
"What did I tell you about leaving your laundry in the dryer? How many times do I have to bring it up?" Her arms are on her hips as she glares at her brother who is currently focused on the screen. Oh, how she hates the ignorance her brother feigns when he's playing video games.
"What?" The open mouthed response fires up the annoyance in her body. Again, another repeat of another day.
"Your laundry." She waits for Karan to reply before she walks over to him and sits beside him. "If I beat you in this race, are you going to get your laundry out of there?"
"Uh no." The corner of Priyanka's lips turn up at the response.
"You know you're just going to lose again."
"I don't lose."
If anyone knew Karan and Priyanka really well, then they'd know that this was the beginning of a challenge that obviously Priyanka would win. Priyanka knew for a fact that she would win and her brother would go downstairs to get his laundry as planned.
Just as Priyanka picked up the second controller, Karan's phone lit up from a call. The caller tune was loud and funky just like her brother. She took a glance at the caller ID to see a girl's name - Ariya. With a red heart beside it. She rolled her eyes. Of course her brother is dating another girl.
But this time she watched his brother lean over and pick up the phone swiftly. Contrary to his other response with his other girlfriends. He actually picked up the phone. She scrunches her eyebrows in confusion. Who was this girl?
Her brother got up and placed a finger in front of her indicating to give him a second.
"Hey Ariya." A breathy laugh escaped her brother and Priyanka let out a snort as she realized that this might've been the one time she's ever seen her brother in this condition. Love sick.
"Uh huh, I'll pick you up tomorrow and take you there. Anything else? You doing okay today? You need medicine?"
Priyanka raised a brow. Her brother was tending to a girl who was sick for the first time that wasn't her or her mother. She was very much surprised at that as her mouth hung open comedically. Karan turns around and looks at her with a worried yet pleased look on his face.
"Who's the girl? Do I know her?"
"No, you don't know her."
"Is she your girlfriend?"
"I- no."
Priyanka gasps and then bursts out laughing, clutching her stomach. "Oh my god, you- you're not dating? Who is this girl?"
Karan sits beside her and glares at his little sister. "You better not tell Mumma. I swear."
Priyanka wipes a tear that fell from her eyes as she laughs, "And why should I not? That's the first girl that hasn't given in to the Karan sensation."
Karan opens his mouth and then closes it, lips pursed in a straight line. "She's different."
Priyanka leans her head in her hands and bats her lashes, "What makes her different, bhaiya?"
He groans and pushes her away, "You're so annoying."
"Really. Are you serious about her this time around? What's she like?"
"She's not like the others. She's beautiful, funny, and cheerful. Always wants to take care of others - wait, why am I telling you this?"
Priyanka smiles and gets up, moving towards the door. "Because you wanted to." A soft smile was on her face before she sticks her tongue out. "By the way, you still need to take your laundry out. I'm not doing it for you."
Karan groans as he watches his sister's frame disappear.

Now that Karan has supposedly found the "love of his life", Priyanka was left thinking on her own about her own love life. Her best friend Priti was honestly a vibe. She would talk on and on about her flings, knowing the most about relationships. More than Priyanka herself.
Priyanka was beautiful. With deep brown eyes and straight hair, she was set out to break hearts of any guy out there. Yet here she was waiting for her Mr. Right because she knew that he was out there somewhere, waiting for her.
Priti told her that she was nuts thinking that her "Mr. Right" was going to come around at any given time. But she knew that he would come around one day or another. Her stomach filled with butterflies as she imagined how he would be.
Her mom knocks on her door, interrupting her thoughts. "Pari, time for dinner okay? Come downstairs."
She smiled at her mom. "Okay mumma."
Her heart was full just thinking of him. She was too much of a dreamer.
