It had been two weeks since her divorce and Heidi was still struggling to pick herself back up. She was so lonely without Sasha around. Just having his presence made her feel more comfortable. She did everything in her power to feel comfortable in her apartment but the loneliness killed her. The loneliness also had an equally unpleasant friend along side it and that was her inability to wrestle. She was talking to multiple different indie companies and getting nowhere. She even thought of going to Germany or the UK to join a company. But no company she had spoken with or researched was looking for new talent.
Heidi sat at her coffee table in the living room and she puts her head in her hands. She felt so stuck. Heidi lifts her head again before she slumps back on the couch and turns on her TV. Reruns of Monday Night Raw were playing and she found herself having a little bit of enjoyment. This was her little bit of escape from the real
world at the moment. But the moment was interrupted by her phone ringing with an unknown US contact. Heidi was confused but she decided to humour the, to her own assumption, telemarketer by answering.Heidi's English certainly wasn't good but it was understandable to some degree for the young sounding American man on the other line as Heidi answered. "Hello?" Heidi asked coldly. "Hi there, is this Heidi Sokolov?" The young sounding man politely asked. "Yes, speaking." Heidi says to the best of broken English abilities. "Wonderful, I'm sorry for such a sudden call considering your last performance was a few months back when the Russian World Championship Wresting production was still in business. But I'm wondering if you have a moment to talk about a possible career in the WWE?" The young man asked. Heidi was stunned to hear him mention wrestling so casually. Let alone WWE. "Is this joke? Why I get chance to be in WWE?" She asks, her mind was racing waiting to snap and tell this random guy to fuck off because of the cruel joke.
"Oh no, it's not at all a joke! I'm a scout for NXT and I had been looking through some Russian wrestling websites and YouTube videos and I came across your performances. WWE would be thrilled to have a young talent like you join the roster." He stated. Heidi almost dropped her phone. "So this not joke?!" Squeaked Heidi as she runs her hand through her hair. "No, but do you have a moment to talk about the career possibilities?". Heidi was absolutely stunned. "Yes! Absolutely! It's been dream of mine to be in WWE! Please what they willing to offer me?!" Heidi almost pleaded as she puts her phone on speaker, her excitement only made her English worse.
Heidi, in all honesty, was absolutely shell shocked during the phone call and only key words stuck to her mind, the gist of the phone call was that WWE was looking for new international talent and she was at the top of their list and WWE wanted to fly her out to Tampa Florida to begin training at their performance centre and to see if she has what it takes to be part of the company. Heidi of course, jumped at this opportunity. At the end of the call Heidi was in tears and she instantly began to jump up and down and scream with pure joy once the scout was off the line. She was beyond elated, her dream to be a WWE superstar was coming true.
Later that night Heidi got together with her family for a surprise family dinner. "What's this about?" One of Heidi's middle sisters, Maja, asked. "Well I want all of you to be comfortable when I say this cause it's a big deal!" Heidi smiles happily. "You're pregnant?!" Melania gasps. "What no?! I got divorced two weeks ago?!" Heidi says. "Rebound? I did that with my ex husband." Melania smirks bouncing her eyebrows. Heidi stared at her sister with a puzzled look before she just brushed off her comment. "Whatever, but everyone, I got a very surprising and important phone call today." She started as she stood from her seat so everyone in her family could see. Her parents were already giving each other suspicious side glances, both wondering what their youngest daughter was on about and up to. "The call was from a WWE talent scout, and he came across my matches and performances online, and he said that I'm at the top of the list for international wrestling talent that WWE is wanting!" Heidi continues as she bounces on her heels excitedly.
At first the only reaction she got was Lev choking on the water he had taken a sip of and then looking at her in pure shock. That was followed by a long silence. Soon enough, her sisters all began to cackle and wheeze. "Oh Heidi! Please don't pull our legs like this!" Sofie snorted. "Sweetheart this is a cruel joke on yourself!" Anastasia cackled. "It's not a joke!" Heidi snapped as she glared at her sisters. "Heidi darling is this true?" Varya asks concerned. "Yes! Why would I lie about this?!" Heidi questioned. Lev puts his hand up to cover his mouth and he began to cry. Heidi felt that she upset him and he thought she was lying. "Heidi you made papa cry!" Melania scolded. "B-but I-I'm.." Heidi's words caught in her throat as she tried to explain herself. "Oh hush Melania these aren't disappointment tears!" Lev snapped slightly. "Heidi is this true! You've really been scouted?!" He asks. Heidi nodded silently. Lev began to cry as he stood up and hugged Heidi tightly. "Papa, what's wrong?" Sofie asks. "She did it!! My baby girl did it!" Lev sobbed as he held Heidi close. Soon Varya began to cry and she joined her husband in the warm embrace. Heidi's sisters had all stopped laughing by now and we're looking in between each other stunned. Heidi's younger brother Tobias were just as shocked but her youngest brother and youngest sister Nikita and Polina, who were only 5, began to cheer happily for his big sister.
"My princess I'm so proud of you!" Lev sniffled. "I'm so proud! My precious little princess will become a big time wrestler!" He added through his tears. Heidi just smiles at her father and she hugs him again while Varya couldn't contain herself, she was feeling millions of emotions. Her daughter was reaching her dreams but then she feared how her daughter would fare in a different country so far away, but all she could think back to was how proud and happy she was of Heidi.
Soon Heidi's sisters were getting up and hugging her. Along with apologizing for initially laughing at her. They like Varya had their fears of how Heidi would be in the United States all alone. "So when do you fly out?" Aurora asks. "In a few months, once my visa is approved they'll be giving me a date of when to arrive. They want me their permanently so I can train, something like a workers visa." Heidi says. "A FEW MONTHS?!!" Varya gasps as she tries to hold in her still flowing tears. "Lev they're taking our baby away!" She sniffles. "Mama I'll make sure to call you everyday! And I'll visit the minute I get the chance!" Heidi snickered as she held her mom's hand. "Lev I don't think I can live without Heidi being in Russia! Heidi my love you can't leave Russia it will kill me! Do you want to kill your mother?!" Varya whined. "My love it will be hard but we will know that she's safe and making her way up in life! She'll be experiencing everything she's ever dreamed of!" Lev sighed trying to calm his wife.
"Can I come with you sissy!?" Nikita asked excitedly. "Oh I wish you could buddy but mama couldn't live without one of her little princes with her, and Polina needs her twin brother." Heidi smiles softly. "It already kills me that my daughter will be alone in America! That's too far away for me! And those American men are barbarians to beautiful young women like you! What if they hurt you?!" Varya sobbed. "Mama! That doesn't help my already very anxious nerves. And I'm not going to America for a man." Heidi sighed. "Varya, dear if you would feel more comfortable, and if you allow it, I can go with her to make sure she's safe and to help her settle in comfortably." Lev offers. "I promise I would keep her safe and make sure nobody hurts her." Lev adds. "If papa is going I wanna go! I'll take Polina!" Nikita squeals as he bounces in his seat. "My boy you and Polina need to stay with the family. Mama is best to take care of you." Lev says softly as he pats his youngest son's head. "But papa you can't even remember how to speak English!" Sofie says. "Hush I can relearn, I'll live!" Lev says. Varya was contemplating her answer to let Lev go with Heidi or not. "I think it's a good idea mama. Who knows maybe it'll be easier for my citizenship if papa is with me because he has citizenship in the United States." Heidi says. "How long would you stay?" Varya asked Lev. "A year at most my love." He said gently as he wipes his wife's eyes. Varya was shocked and silent. "I guess that isn't terrible but if anything happens to my daughter your head is coming off your shoulders!" Varya says as she composed herself enough to answer. Lev snickers and smiles. "Of course darling, I promise Heidi will be well taken care of with me there."
Varya nodded and she hugs Lev and then hugs Heidi tightly. For as sad as she was knowing her daughter and husband would be leaving to live in another country, with her daughter staying in that country permanently, Varya was so proud of her daughter. She had no fears that Heidi wouldn't make it in WWE, she knew her daughter would be the absolute best and become the absolute best. It was in Heidi's blood to work hard and succeed.
