丨-Chapter Nineteen - The Evil Meeting for Evil People-

--Y/n POV--

The building was dilapidated, beaten, and constructed from rusting metals and plates. It was almost brownish from all the rust and decay, and you watched from a distance as the two more entered the building. The screech and tears of the door echoed through the open abandoned cargo bay lot and it hit your ears irritatingly.

One would think an abandoned bay with such an immense size would be under constant surveillance like this. But I guess not.

It was a cold Saturday night where the brisk cold wind hollowed strong in the air with a lingering sea salt scent. The full moon casts a light blue ray on the dark bay, figures lurking under the covered shadows hidden behind tall rusted shipping containers, only illuminated by flaming metal barrels scattered about.

Is my own subconscious voice trying to scare me? I feel betrayed man, absolutely betrayed.

𝑰𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏'𝒕 𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒆...

Who's to say I haven't lost it already?

Seagulls squeaked and squawked above you, gliding across polls and tall decrypted lamps. The scenery here practically screamed 'evil lair'. The harsh environment, dark lighting, grim abandoned structures illuminated by flaming barrels... can't get any more evil than this...

"Of course, it had to be a warehouse, a nice restaurant, or maybe even a beach house. Nope, just a cliche old rickety warehouse, because everyone knows that's the best place to plan an evil scheme."

Two armed guards were monitoring the doors, both equipped with masks and radios. One foot tapped impatiently on the asphalt while the other gazed his head around. Their clothes consisted of mostly grey to dark grey with an outline of black and dark blue masks that resembled an X.

"This better be worth my time. Some old geezer managed to track down my burner phone's number, so surely it has to be. And now I need a new phone number..."

With your free hand, you gingerly pulled back your hood, letting your h/c hair cascade out of its confines as you trekked your eerily levitating shoes above the damp concrete below. If there was any place where your quirk should never be deactivated, it would be here. Lord knows how many crosshairs you're currently in.

The guard straightened his posture as you approached, even adjusting his mask. "State your name and purpose"

How straightforward, "Polterheist, im here to attend Metal Man Dans meeting" You monotoned boredly. Phasing through the doors would be an option, but something about waltzing in past guards doesn't seem ideal.

The one you spoke to glanced at the other guard, who then clicked a button on his shoulder strapped walkie. "Ay, Sword---  Yeah--  she's here---  alright--   cool", You couldn't hear the other line because of how fizzled it was. "Come in" He finished and slid open the thick metal door from behind.
