(Mei's Perspective)

...

......

.........

A black void

Stretching until the very limits of her vision

Sounds of thunder pierced her ears

Mei was confused

The only things she remembered is her going to sleep

Maybe she was dreaming

She raised a hand to pinch her cheek

She felt the slight pain

After doing that for a while, she had confirmed it

She can't be dreaming, since she obviously wasn't waking up

Suddenly, a sound of a thunderbolt seemed to ring right behind her

Turning around...She saw herself

However, her pupils were abnormal

That wasn't herself

It was someone else

Someone Mei knew

"What do you want, Herrscher"

She said in the most serious voice she could make

"Pfff—Calm down, coward. I'm not here to fight or anything"

The Herrscher snickered at her, its expression making a mockery out of her

"Then, what do you want?"

Mei asked in the most threatening tone she could make

"Ooo, scary. I'm sorry to inform you, but you sound more silly than threatening, just speak normally"

The Herrscher retorted as she made a sour expression

"That doesn't answer my question"

Mei once more spoke

The Herrscher only shrugged in response

"Very well, I guess I'll explain"

It said as it scratched its head

"We're inside your dream right now. Or more like, I modeled your dream to look like this, since anything else would be useless for talking"

It casually said

Mei was shocked

The Herrscher could freely invade her dreams like this?

She felt a shiver go down her spine

"I want to propose a truce"

The words the Herrscher uttered were nothing like what she expected

"A truce? As in?"

Mei asked, thinking that there would be a catch

"As in I'll allow you to control the Authority of Thunder without trying to take over"

...What?

Mei wasn't sure if she heard right

The Herrscher was willing to do what?

How?

Why?

"You seem confused. I hope you aren't thinking that I'm doing this without reason. Since if I had the choice, I wouldn't be giving my powers to a coward like you"
