His head throbbed, burned even.

The sheets draped over his sore body, it was comforting but not in the way Yin had been yearning for.

The chaotic layed next to him, they laid back to back to each other.

Having separate beds was something they both hoped for, but would most likely never get.

OJ had given them a shared room with the Cherries when Yin and Yang were fused together, so to OJ's logic they counted as "one person". Ever since Test Tube had separated them again it was awkward and uncomfortable to get rest.

Yang stirred slightly in his sleep, this caused Yin to wake.

His eyes fluttered open in annoyance, the golden sunlight started to pour into the dim room as it rose over the windowsill enough to peek its head into the hotel room.

Eyes squinted, Yin was trying to adjust to the bright yellow light flowing into the room.

He sat up stretching his arms then slumping over to rub his half awake eyes. After resting his head in his hands for a few moments he got up;

God

His whole body felt like it was being torn apart, it ached.

He slowly walked over to the curtains and pulled them shut, a calm darkness consumed the room. Yin relaxed his eyes, it felt much easier to see now.

knock, knock.

He approached the door, looking into the peephole before opening it.

Cheesy stood with a silly smile. The comedian was a bit surprised to see Yin open the door.

"Hey Yin! Are the cherries awake?" The comedian asked.

Yin shook his head; "No, why?" He asked in a drained tone.

His eyes looking down at the comedian Cheesy felt the gaze burn though him in an awkward, uneasy way. This was the first time he saw Yin look so tired.

"Ha, well, we're supposed to plan a few pranks today, that's why I'm asking." He paused, "I just want to have a cherrie time with em'." The comedian slapped his knee, laughing at his own joke. Yin let out a muffled "hm." trying to show some sort of forced laughter. "I'll let them know about your plans once they wake up."

Cheesy nodded as a "Thank you" before he walked off to god knows where. Yin let out a tired sigh as he closed the door.

"Might as well get ready for the day since I'm up." Yin mentally said to himself.

Tap, Tap.

Yin took a deep breath out of growing annoyance as he opened the door once more.

"Cheesy, I said I'd tell them-" Yin paused. "Oh, Candle...What are you doing here?"

Candle calmly smiled as she handed Yin a blank journal.

"Here, I found an extra I had in storage." The mindful said in a calm tone. Yin inspected the book, flipping through the blank pages. "..Are you sure you want me to have this?-" He cut himself off, "-I mean, thank you, but- are you sure? " Candle slowly nodded, "It seems like you need it more than me, I could always buy myself another if needed." She has a mellow voice, presenting a reassuring smile. Yin gave an appreciative smile in return.

Candle then took her cue to walk away, she gave a single wave; and so did Yin.

The good-hearted closed the door silently behind him; his thumb rubbed against the laminated paper cover of the journal.
