Masumi watching the 2 people that she is comfortable around get turned into cards, but why was she saved? Why her...
"Waking up was easy, sleeping on the other hand, was terrible, Sylvio was talking to himself the entire time!" Serena says agitatedly.
"I didn't hear him?" Kotsu says "Cause you sleep like a rock girl!" Serena retorts.
"I heard it too..." Yuya says, exiting his room, "I'm going to the kitchen, have fun." He says nonchalantly.
"He is... completely different when he is tired" Kotsu said "I would bet" Serena retorts.
They start to walk towards the kitchen when they hear screaming down the hallway "SYLVIO IS HEEERREEE!!" Fading as they walked down the stairs.
Kitchen
The 2 girls sit down with Gong and Yuya, Serena holding a cup of coffee and Kotsu holding a box of donuts for the 4. "Gong you can get moving e-a-r-ly!" Yuya says, "Gong needs to get up nice and early so he can train. It also keeps Gong alert earlier in the morning." Gong replies, sipping his tea he made.
"Hello Hello Hey-llo~" Sylvio says overly peppy "What's it now, Sylvio?" Serena asks "I wish to take you as my bride Masumi!" He says. "Excuse me, pardon my French but... what the fuck" Kotsu says staring Sylvio dead in his gray-blue eyes. "Language!" Yuya retorts. "Its French" Gong says, not knowing what French is.
"Well ms Kotsu-" Sylvio tries to say "Don't call me that Sylvio Sawatari" Kotsu retorts "ms Musami, you understand that I am the most wealthy and powerful person here-" sylvio tries to say but is cut off
"Would you like to repeat Sylvio?" Declan says "and are you causing trouble Sylvio?"
"N-no sir..." Sylvio pouts
"How about this Sylvio, I will duel you, and if you win, I will consider your offer, if I loose, you have to leave me alone for as long as we are lancers. Deal?" Kotsu asks "Deal!" Sylvio says.
"We gotta see this!" Serena says "C'mon!" Gesturing to Yuya and Gong "And take the donuts!" She adds.
"I activate Absorb fusion! I banish gem-knights Quartz and tourmaline!"
"Gem Knighy Saphentite! I trigger Quartz's effect! When it is used as material for a fusion monster, I can add absorb fusion back to my hand!"
"I normal summon gem armadillo, I add to my hand 1 "Gem-Knight Lazuli", then I normal summon Gem-Knight Alexandrite!"
"I tribute alexandrite to special summon Gem-Knight Garnet! I then activate Gem-Knight Fusion! Using garnet, Lazuli, and Gem Knight Ioltite to summon!"
"The woman that leads the Gem-Knights! Shine with the brilliance of crystal water of the midday! Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Daimond! I use Lazuli's effect, and add Garnet to my hand! Lady Brilliant Daimond activates, I send Saphentite to special summon"

"The Gem-Knight with the beauty of a rose in the center of a blooming field! I Summon Gem-Knight Lady Rose Daimond! And I end my turn"
"Its My turn finally!" Sylvio says annoyed, "I Draw!"
"Bets to how hard Sylvio is gonna get beat?" Serena says, "Gong ain't a betting man, but is rooting for Kotsu" gong says, "and I'm betting a 5¥ Sylvio is getting cooked." Yuya whispered to Serena, which made her chuckle.
"I set the pendulum scale with scale with scale 0 mellow Madonna and scale 2 wild hope! I use Mellow Madonna's effect, I add 1 "Abyss Actor" pendulum monster form my deck to my hand, except herself, but I loose 1000 lifepoints, I will add Abyss Actor Superstar!"
Sylvio LP 4000 -> 3000
"I use Wild Hope's pendulum effect, I change Mellow Madonna's scale to 9 for the turn, I pendulum summon!"
"Its what Yuya uses, interesting" Kotsu thinks.
"I summon Abyss actor Evil Heel, Twinkle Star, and most importantly, Take Center Stage Abyss Actor Superstar!"
"I activate Evil Heel's effect, your Lady Brilliant Daimond looses 3000 attack for the turn!" Sylvio confidently states. "I activate Lady Rose Daimond, banishing Saphentite, I destroy your Superstar."
"Evil Heel, Attack Lady Brilliant Daimond! Evil Crash!" "I activate Gem Crow in my hand, negating your attack and special summoning it!" Kotsu retorts. "Twinkle attack Brilliant!" "You cannot attack with monsters, the turn Crow is activated" Kotsu retorts again.

"I then end my turn"
"My turn, I draw" Kotsu says confidently
"I normal summon Gem-Knight Saphire, I use Lady Brilliant Daimond's effect to special summon from my extra deck!
Gem with facets of day and night. Gem of tinged lightning. Brilliant emerald with good fortune. In a whirlpool of light combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Special Summon! Appear! Supreme radiance who illuminates everything! Gem-Knight Master Daimond!"
"Master Daimond gains 100 attack for each Gem-Knight in my graveyard!"
Kotsu gives a thumbs up to Serena, Yuya, and Gong. Serena starts to blush "The way she finished off Sylvio, That was ho....... I-im not falling for her, am I?" Serena thinks.
Kotsu thinks "Sylvio is an idiot, 1. He thought he could beat me, and 2. I'm not into guys... I like the more, feminine side of the populous... I think...?" Kotsu starts to think as she lightly blushes.
Author's Note
Hey! This chapter is mostly a filler chapter that allows me to breathe without a cliffhanger (that I accidentally make good job me!) and think about the synchro dimension and such, Whilst also furthering the relationship of Serena and Kotsu, and as I was writing this, I was thinking about how much more social Serena is than in the main timeline, but I feel that it makes sense as she trusts people earlier than in that timeline. I also made the first custom for this and it probly will be used a couple more times. Thanks for reading!
