season two, episode fourteen - part one
aka
"ONE MILLION BUCKS B.C."
-
When we returned to the cabins, I collapsed onto my bed, exhausted from today. When I looked over to Courtney, who was bunking next to me, she had a smile on her face."Don't smile at me like that," I giggled at her.
"Like what?" she cooed back at me.
I looked into her brown eyes, and her pupils grew more prominent; she came over and sat on my bed with me, putting my hand in hers. I felt my face heat up.
"I like how your hand fits in mine," I admitted before realizing I just said that out loud. "Oh- sorry."
"No! It's fine. I do, too." She smiled
I leaned my head on her shoulder, closing my eyes and taking in the moment. I felt like falling asleep in her arms, but that's ridiculous. She'd hate me.
"I'm really glad you're back, C," I said with a yawn, leaning into her more. I was pretty tired then, so I barely knew what I was doing.
"I'm glad to be back too, y/n, you have no idea. I missed you a lot. More than I'd ever missed Duncan or anyone else in my life-" she paused, waiting for an answer. "Sorry, that was weird, wasn't it."
But when she glanced down, y/n was peacefully sleeping on Courtney's shoulder, almost falling into her arms. Courtney blushed and let you fall into her, embracing you as if this moment was about to disappear. She stroked your hair soothingly, realizing she should probably go back to her bed before anyone else woke up.. but this moment was so peaceful she didn't want to. Her eyes got heavier as she started to lay back, dozing off while holding you close.

When I woke up, I felt really warm and safe for some reason, which is the last thing I've felt since being back on this show. I think Chris is more insane than last season. But when I eventually decided to open my eyes, I wasn't met with what I expected, which was Courtney sleeping softly. She looked so pretty. I just wanted to stare at her beauty and stay in this moment forever.
She had her arms wrapped around me and a little bit of my hair in her hand that it looked like she was playing with. I.. She must have fallen asleep at the same time as me, and she'd freak out if she saw this. As if on cue, her eyelids slowly opened, and our gazes met. I could tell I was probably a tomato by now, so I was glad it was still somewhat dark in the cabin. I looked at her, scared of her reaction to this situation. She started back at me before having a worried and embarrassed expression on her face.
"Er. This is your bed, I'm so sorry." She said, going back to her bunk and quickly diving under the covers facing away from me.
I sat there for a moment, stunned. Yeah, she hated me.
(confessionals)
Courtney: I can't believe I thought she might like me. That look on her face, she looked disgusted. It was so lovely having her in my arms like that, though.. I shouldn't think like this because I don't even know if we're friends anymore.
-
Heather: I can't stand Linday having so much hair when she's the reason I lost mine! I have got to get some hair! I don't want Leshawna's weave or Beth's pathetic ponytail. And I'm too smart to be a Linday blonde. But Courtlyn and y/n. They're perfect.
(confessionals off)
When I woke again, Heather brushed Linsay's hair aggressively as the blonde complained. Courtney was nowhere to be seen, and I felt my stomach knot thinking about last night. If I try to act normal to her, things might be okay. I really don't wanna embarrass myself again, but I hope we can still be.. friends.
"OW!" Lindsay yelled as Heather gave the hairbrush a massive yank.
"I got the knot!" Heather smiled, holding up a clump of hair.
"Hey, girls!" Courtlyn said, walking into the cabin suddenly. My heart skipped a beat, but I sucked it up momentarily as everyone gave her dirty looks.
"Isn't anyone glad to see me?" she questioned, and I smiled.
"I am!" I stood up slightly, waving to her, hoping for a good reaction. Her eyes lit up, and I walked up to her confidently. "I wonder what Chris has planned for us today."
"It's great to have your hair- I mean, it's great to have you here, Courtney." Heather smiled at her.
We looked at each other and started to giggle before she grabbed my arm, and we began to walk out of the cabin together before being interrupted by a loud horn noise coming from outside.
"Talk about your fashion faux pas." Heather sneered as we all walked up to Chris, who was leaning on a giant horn, dressed as some caveman.
"Is that boy wearing a loincloth?" Leshawna pointed to him as Duncan started to laugh.
"Like it?" Chris asked
"Oh! Oh, it hurts." Duncan continued clutching his stomach.
"You think that hurts?" he barked. "Wait till you hear today's challenges. Now, let's get started."
A/N: shorter chapter but i'm tired and i wanted to get this out but i'll start the next one tmr!🙏
